RE: Voltage drop
The switch mechanism is basically identical to the Private V2. Think I'll add some copper to the spring.

RE: Voltage drop
I tried that and wasn't too successful. The intloutdoor spring just needed a coil lobbed off and its been fine at .3ohm for a few months, the prometheus started killing the stock spring and the trident finished it off lol. It can also stand unlocked in 18650 mode with a full stainless kayfun on now, I like the mod myself.

RE: Voltage drop
No improvement yet but will try some more wire later. If the spring craps out, I'll experiment more.

RE: Voltage drop
Got the Poldiac switch apart. Then raced around to find the magnets....

Don't take this switch apart for fun. Putting it back together isn't.

There are adjustment and retaining screws at each end of the switch. The problem is the retaining screws may move with the adjustment ones. Once they are tightened, the mod hits hard. Now time to return my lungs. The Kick most certainly not needed now.

RE: Voltage drop
Remeasured after some fiddling. The load was an 0.5 ohm Taifun GT clone. The same cell was used for each measurement and popped on the charger between tests. Since you can't access the deck of the Taifun unless you want to make a real mess, I used an inline voltmeter which is not a high precision device but the errors should be consistent.

All firing an 0.5 ohm Taifun GT clone. V.F is the voltage under load. The Brass/AL Private V2 has aluminium threads which are wrecked so the measurement is dubious for that one.

Myth clone
V.Batt 4.17V
V.F 3.54V
Drop 0.63V

Poldiac clone
V.Batt 4.16V
V.F 3.81V
Drop 0.35V

Natural clone
V.Batt 4,16V
V.F 3.82V
Drop 0.34V

Private V2 (Al/Brass) clone **
V.Batt 4.16V
V.F 3.67V
Drop 0.49V

Private V2 (SS/Brass) clone
V.Batt 4.16V
V.F 3.96V
Drop 0.20V

Hammer clone
V.Batt 4.16V
V.F 3.91V
Drop 0.25V

JM22 clone
V.Batt 4.16V
V.F 3.82V
Drop 0.34V

M16 clone
V.Batt 4.16V
V.F 4.02V
Drop 0.14V

Origin clone
V.Batt 4.15V
V.F 3.99V
Drop 0.16V

GG TS clone (510 mode)
V.Batt 4.15V
V.F 3.82V
Drop 0.33V

I think the Poldiac could be improved a little yet with some fiddling, but look at the numbers for the Private V2 and M16! Way better than everything else and probably reflect the actual sag of the cell under a heavy load. The Priovate V2 is measured at 6.32A into the coils and the M16 at 6.31A.

RE: Voltage drop
Those are some impressive numbers on the Private, M16 and Origin. Is that using a VTC3 ?

RE: Voltage drop
VTC4. I might try it again with the 1500mAh Efests instead.

RE: Voltage drop
Now you see why I like that private v2. Its not too shabby at all. I'll do some more testing next time I have my meter out, see how the stainless origin stacks up to the brass one.
