Vaping dissatisfaction
I have a problem and I blame all of you.  Once upon a time I just wanted to quit smoking and nothing worked.  I'd given up, didn't think I was cool enough to vape with kids in the smoking area. If it weren't for my financial situation I'd be sitting here watching WWII docs with my spouse and cover myself with ash and tiny burn holes.

I finally caved and got an ego starter kit, read the minimal user guide and began to vape.  It was OK, sometimes even fine depending on the flavor, all 30 shades of menthol. However I was quickly baffled by PG, VG, Nic, Mods, Carts, Tanks, Cells and so on. How was an old fart like me supposed to decide what kind of eliquid to buy, so it was off to the internet where I found TVF.

Over the last six weeks I vaped, enjoyed it and learned, learned a lot. Even how to inhale for better flavor. No question was too lame for you all to answer. One of my little ego batteries would last me days.  My 1.2 ml cart lasted about a day.  I wasn't smoking, much.

Now, I'm not smoking at all which is a very good thing.  But today, I drained both my ego batteries, and have already refilled my 2ml nautilis mini twice. Yes, I'm chain vaping. I'm overwhelmed with need, not to smoke, but to buy bigger tanks, will even a 5ml tank get me thru the day?  To buy multi cell mods and make my own juice just to find that sweet spot.

Is there a point to this post?  Not so much. Just wanted to thank everyone on this forum and find out when did you realize, this more than a Nic replace tool?

RE: Vaping dissatisfaction
What do you mean. You buy one mod - that is all you need. You get one tank. Who needs more? I would never own more than one set up. You use more than 2ml a day? I can go two days on 2ml.

Wait. It only gets worse as the time passes.

RE: Vaping dissatisfaction
i got my first vape pen roughly 14 months ago .it was just an attemp to quit smoking , but evolved into a full blown hobby . im currently on my 5th device , and have 3 RDA's and 4 low watt tanks and vape over 200ml of 6mg per month . atleast im off the cigs and still invested far less $$ than i was spending on cigs .

RE: Vaping dissatisfaction
To me, it really became a hobby around the same time as when I found this forum. I started wanting bigger and better gear, and I found the forum looking for advice and people to talk to about it all.

So I can blame this forum?  Otherwise I wouldn't have had an hour long conversation with my spouse about why I might need to use his Ohm meter.  I'm feeling a bit like a vaping zealot without an audience.

RE: Vaping dissatisfaction
Oh yeah you can definitely blame us Wink

Before I found this forum I was content using an MVP2 with a ProTank 2 for over a year. After joining the forum, I ended up buying new mods at a rate of around once a month.

RE: Vaping dissatisfaction
This is the dirty secret about vaping that we never tell anyone.  And now that you're hooked, you'll keep our secret too.  Muhahahaha...

Some people don't "get into it".  Some of us do.  I've managed to keep the need to buy more and more equipment to a minimum by focusing on other aspects of the hobby, and very selectively buying new kit only as I genuinely outgrow what I'm using.  Whenever possible, the old stuff gets "paid forward" to someone who's trying to quit smoking - as it was someone handing me their old gear that finally got me to stay off stinkies.

Some poeple buy a car and that's that.  Some people buy the audio system that the saleperson recommends and that's that.  Some people even buy one gun and call it good.  And some people buy a starter kit, use it for a year, and then quit vaping.

And then there are those of us that don't.  :-D

Remind one liberal per day, that laws affect only the law-abiding.

RE: Vaping dissatisfaction
I totally blame this forum. I came to the almighty intertubes to find out what the heck I got myself into. After finding this place and the tremendous people that grace it, I knew I was going to take this a lot farther than I ever imagined.

Bilbliora, I hope you did get the RX over the weekend, then the iPV5 soon after. Get that collection started! And since I can tell you're quite technically inclined, get going on making your own coils, too. Fun stuff, really engaging. And taking a nice draw off a freshly built deck and home-mixed juice really brings it together.
