VTC mini w/SMOK TFV4 Mini tank problems
OK, just got the new SMOK tank and put in the TF-CLP2 Clapton Dual Core (0.35ohm). Filled it up with juice and waited a good half hour to wick it good. Turned on the Mini and it didn't recognize the new atomizer (as it should). Tried various methods but, still can't get it to display the "left/right new atomizer" option.

Also came with the TF-S6 (0.4ohm).

With the TF-CLP2, I simply cannot vape in TC. BY that I mean when I go into the settings for either NI, TI, SS and I hit the fire button for just a millisecond, it goes into power mode. I make sure not to burn those coils so hence the quick fire. Basically, the VTC only allows the Bypass and Power modes for that head. Am I doing something wrong here?

I'm going to try the TF-S6 sextuple core now. See what happens.

I'd so appreciate a simple solution so I can vape with this setup. I also want to know why manufacturers don't put whether these coils are SS, Ni or Ti right on the information. There's absolutely no information about what is used in these coils. Are the Clapton coils SS? Are the CLP2 coils SS?

Please, really need to figure this out and need your help. Appreciate it very much.

Thanks

Nichrome or kanthal, probably kanthal. Not that I've used them or know anyone who has (and told me) but just from the description I don't think tc will work with those.

Don't forget to apply for the freecycle section!

Those coils are not SS, NI or TI. So the mod will automatically put you in power mode. For TC  - assuming you did the upgrade  - you need a TC coil ... your coils are kanthal. Smok has TC coils for the TFV4 - you need to get them.

AFAIK the only mod out there (There may be a Chinese one but I'm not aware of it) that can use Kanthal in TC mode is the DNA200.

But it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong. Stainless steel is a bit tricky as the resistance varies much less with temperature.
