US NAVY
Effective tomorrow there is suppose to be a new ban imposed in the US NAVY.

In this article it outlines the fact that although vaping was encouraged and promoted by the NAVY, a few incidents caused them to change their minds....plus side, looking for one, is that the NAVY is now partnered up with others to develop better cell technology that could be adapted for vaping gear....

Not sure how i feel on this , there is a lot of unscrupulous financial practice when US military is footing the bill such as the US army being billed $3000 for a set of tires . No bs , this acctualy happened for an extensive period .

Dogs have owners , Cats have staff .

I understand their concern at the potential for pocket rocket explosions especially near live ammo but I wouldn't want to be stuck on a boat full of cranky, nic deprived sailors

RE: US NAVY
As an experienced project manager I've seen countless examples of bureaucratic BS and gouging however that tends to be part of the machine.... more often than not, the result of scammers or events that required controls to be implemented.

Yes, a venting cell in an enclosed area of a ship can be problematic.....if I was the PM on such a great initiative I would definitely look at limiting the available approved gear... Sad Not a popular position even here but some approved gear is much, much better than no approved gear! Sad
