Troubleshooting eLeaf 100w
Hi guys, I have a small problem with my mod. My OHMS are always jumping up and down and there something noisy(like something is loose) in my mod. If I am displaying V( like 6.4V) its ok, but when I go to W, my V start to jump all over the place(which is bigger deal then W jumping...i guess).

So what could it be?

ps: sorry for my bad english

RE: Troubleshooting eLeaf 100w
Hey there redis.

If the voltage is stable in volt mode but not in watt mode it could just be the fact that (for example) 30w and 31w are both 3.6v, so your chip corrects v to match closest with w. Unless it's tc, in which case it's normal.
Reading that back to myself, clarity isn't it's strongest attribute Confused

Remove the battery and case, hold the all the buttons, and see if the rattle is still there..

Worst case it's this

Don't forget to apply for the freecycle section!

The voltage jumps are caused by my ohms flying around if I am in watt mode / watt jumps if in volt mode

And the rattle is still there

RE: Troubleshooting eLeaf 100w
I left my iStick 100w on charge overnight, woke up the next day and the mod was just making a buzzing noise everytime I was taking a hit, it seemed to stop after a couple of hours could it be due to overcharging?

Hi and welcome iCloud!

How many watts is it set to?

Some mods when set below their maximum do buzz - it is the power circuitry most likely. Annoying but not a real problem.

Unless there are other symptoms

Hello and thanks for the welcome. I never go above 60w but last night was the probably the longest charge I've given it since I've had it so thought that had something to do with. I assume it auto stops charging when full anyway?

RE: Troubleshooting eLeaf 100w
It certainly ought to. My guess is that you are hearing the PWM power control circuitry. If this is the case, the note should change at different wattages.

Cheers for the info! It's good to know these things.
