RE: Total noob looking for some info
It's not hard to use, basically it is a tube with a (good) battery in it and a switch on the bottom. Making coils is a little fiddly at first but if you are sensible they won't need making all that often. I'm not good at it but bought a gadget that makes perfect coils every time. Wicks are a matter of taste, unbleached cotton wool will work with most things. The usual problems with it are using too much of letting it dry out, burning cotton wool is not a pleasant vape.

Dripping atomisers like that Igo M are among the easier ones to set up as they tend to have plenty of room to work in. Which is a big advantage with my 50+ year old eyes. Their only disadvantage is you do need to fill them up quite often.

Fasttech stock both items. The tube is a gp paps clone and the dripper is an igo m.

You want 30amp capable 18650 cells like sony vct4 or lg 18650 he and a good charger (ie not a nitecore) you also want kanthal at least .45mm diameter and a method of measuring resistance. After all that its pretty easy with a little practice.

What do you guys think of that? is that a complete set minus battery and charger? And is it simple to just fill w/juice and vape like the pens?

That's just the unit without the battery yes.. You can pick up the same unit for a lot less if you're willing to wait longer for delivery - Here

The Vamo is a good unit and a reliable workhorse but remember you'll be limited to a max of 15 Watts and no sub-ohm vaping if that's your style. 1.2 ohms is the lowest the Vamo will take you.

At your current stage of vaping though it'll do everything you need. Smile

THe problem you have with the mechanical you purchased, drock, is less with the mod itself and more with the atomizer it came with.  That atomizer is just a bottom coiler like the CE5 atties have.  This is why it performs only as well as your little CE5.  It's just a big CE5.

You will need a real atomizer to produce the clouds.  A dripper will certainly give you what you want but it won't be convenient when travelling about.  The better option for your habits will be a good RBA like the Squape or a Flash E-Vapor, or an Aqua.  These will provide large juice capacity and be relatively leak proof while still producing clouds of vapor and great flavor.

Johnny is right. I've just checked that mod you bought and it's the same as 18sixfifty's new mod in this post

All you need is a good RBA as mentioned above and a couple of decent cells and you'll be good to go Good2

A charger might help though Tongue

interesting, that is a perfect thought because it really does feel just like a big CE5. Would I be able to buy an Aqua, Squaqe or E-Vapor and just screw it onto the mod I have?

Absolutely, you'll need to build a coil for those devices though but there's tons of youtube videos with tutorials. Riptrippers has a ton of coil building vids.

There's also our 'How do you dip yer wick' thread here where you'll find some of our coil builds along with descriptions etc Smile

If you buy the aqua, some nameless fellow did a relatively detailed write up on building it on here. I can probably find a step by step on the aga t3 too
