Today is the day
I made a decision to not buy anymore cigs. I had 2 left when i got up this morning. Starting my 5th week vaping, and feel like I am ready for this. Been about 4 hours now. I did add a little 9mg to my 3's I have been vaping....just in case. I do have to work today, and it seems tougher for me at work, but I'm going to give it a good try. I had my yearly check up with my doctor last week and he is very happy that I am vaping. He recommends it to his patients that smoke. So he's one of the good guys.
Going with a coconut juice today that is tasty but not to sweet. A good all day vape for me.

RE: Today is the day
Well done Jack, keep it up.

It'll soon be a week, then a month, then a year.

But if you do relapse please remember that it isn't the ones you smoke, it's the ones you haven't smoked cause you vaped instead.

CONGRATS Jack! Starts with a single hour, then single day and before you know it you're counting months since your last smoke!

They are right Jack. This may or may not be the critical mass moment where you drop the analogs for good once and for all, but if it is, you will realize that days, months, and years will pass. And you'll be happy for it. Thursday will be my 3 year mark for the last time I had an analog. In some ways, it was quite fast. In other ways, it seems a million years ago.

Congrats, and hang in there!

Well done Jack - just don't beat yourself up over it if you have the odd cigarette - it is not an easy addiction to overcome. It is over 4 years since I had a smoke - but it took me 6 weeks to completely stop. Be relaxed about it - that will mean you enjoy your vaping more and make the transition that little bit easier.

RE: Today is the day
It has been almost 6 month since I had my last cigarette. It seems to me like an eternity, went through the pimple-period, smoking dreams, cravings and doubts. Now I can say that my energy level has greatly improved, I don´t sound like a whale no more while breathing and the stink is gone. Keep focused on your goal, it gets easier with time. Good luck and be strong

RE: Today is the day
I screwed up on the 4th of July....had a few drinks to celebrate, and bought a pack of cigs....have weened off again. Such an addiction, but back on track. Was beating myself up until a friend told me how much better thn 3 packs a day it was.

That is terrible Jack - and really really bad - 3 minute time-out[Image: tongue.gif].
Seriously don't worry about it - your friend was right - I think you are doing fine - as I said earlier on this the thread - it took me 6 weeks to break the habit. The other good thing is you are being honest about it - this shows your intent IMO.
