My 9mm pistol is overkill too, but for me it's better to have enough in case 3am rolls around and someone I don't know is rooting through my drawers...

Probably foxes or roe deer. You aren't allowed to use anything with less than the muzzle energy of a 264 rifle to kill deer. Given the way 264 burns out barrels and generally destroys weapons it'd be better if the law was different.

Not sure on bullet guns but moderators on air rifles can vary greatly in sound and there's plenty to choose from would of thought someone shooting at night would try and keep the noise to a min, for other people nearby and the animals they are after, Through i suppose at long range it doesn't scare as many off
