I agree Don, I no longer can drive stick otherwise I would take it over an automatic any day

To try and fail is one step closer to trying and succeeding

You are so right Skyray - it is because I am old and beyond my sell by date - but I battle on and ease the stress with vaping - which is what this forum is all about - although you wouldn't know it a lot of the time[Image: tongue.gif].

I have only ever used one auto. Which used to creep forward or smack my face off the windscreen (windshield in American). It is a bad idea to use your clutch foot on brakes as everyone stamps hard on the clutch pedal.

I don't like cars that move just cause you haven't got your foot on the brake. And have replaced several frontal components on others' automatic cars when I forgot that they creep.

But not the annoyance I got from an auto fitted for hand control as its owner's legs didn't work.

Problem was the springs were set for foot control. Far too heavy for hand use. Full acceleration and wheels locked up braking were the only two settings I could achieve.

Led to some interesting conversations with traffic cops. Who tended to lose all interest when they found out where I was going and why.
