Titanum Coils and the Volt Setting. Am I dying? Is my mod?
So, I did something goofy about two days ago

I was fiddling with my vape (a Joyetech eVic-VTC Mini) two days ago, and for one reason or another, I decided to put it on the Volt setting with a titanium coil inside

Hit the fire button, heard some sizzle, and inhaled a bit of a puff

Instant regret

I have no idea what exactly happened, but I know that the back of my throat and esophagus burned and the taste was pure fire

So, I'm just wondering: Should I be making funeral arrangements, or should I just not do that again? I've still got some (for lack of a better descriptor) "soreness" in the back of my throat, but at this point it just feels like I'm getting a cold (you know, that dry "I'm getting sick" feeling)

In addition: Should I be worried about the mod? I switched out the coils to a nickel pack (the titanium was giving me metallic aftertaste even BEFORE the stupidity), but it still seems like I'm getting a little more sizzle than usual when I fire (also got some gurgling, but I'm guessing that was more juice-related than anything)

You were probably inhaling hot metal vapour. This is not a good thing to do but most likely the damage will heal. Don't make a habit of it though.

Hopefully there's a welder around who has at some point been exposed to metal vapour who can explain better.
Are you around @Pulsar?

I'd see a doc if the symptoms persist though.

The mod will protect itself. It should be fine.

Nickel is lower resistance than Ti so a little sizzling is to be expected.
