The new Triton 2
Hi - Hardly is it on the market the Triton 1 is already an antique. The new Triton has a few changes not least it can be dis-assembled to enable you to clean inside the tank - overlooked on Triton 1 for some reason. They have also taken away the top air inlet - I liked that on the original and it also is a clear Pirex sleeve - I liked the metal one better - less breakable. The old Triton is still good enough for me and the rest that are in stock with retailers will drop in price now - good time to buy - I think.

RE: The new Triton 2
Son of a B!TCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally JUST bought a Triton 1!!!!!!!!!! Dash2 Great, I paid double the retail price for the first tank I ever bought then turned around and bought the outdated version of a new tank right before the 2.0v comes out improving on its biggest flaw. THIS, people, etches in stone that I will NEVER be a vape gear "collector;" I ain't buying SHIT else until the stuff I have rusts through or blows up in my face! Ireful2 Now I see how all of those Volkswagen buyers felt when they learned their new "eco-friendly" VWs actually run on ozone and tree sap mixed with the blood of kittens (or something like that; I don't watch the news.)

^ That was epic.

RE: The new Triton 2
And I was just talking to Michele last night about the Aspire Triton with RTA setup and getting a couple of them so that I could have multiple tanks with different eJuice. Plus with the RTA I could save some more money compared to buying pre-made coils. I guess I will have to watch those prices and get ready to pounce on a few Triton V1.

The Triton 2 looks interesting. http://www.aspirecig.com/products/triton/triton214.html Not sure I prefer it over the original though. I'll keep an eye out for a video review of it on Youtube.

RE: The new Triton 2
Hi Jeff - The only thing going for V2 over V1 is it will come apart for cleaning. Things against it are the glass tank - easier broken than the semi metal one on the V1 and they have taken away the option of the top air vent - I don't know why they have done this because my experience with that vent open just about 1/8th inch seems to make quite a difference to the vape and if you did not like it you could just close it - you had a choice. Keep on the lookout - I have just bought one today £8 cheaper than the first one[Image: smile.gif] I am just about to try it on TC.

I can see it now: the Triton v2.0 will be out for a month, then Aspire will release the “Triton v3.0! Now with a top air vent!” Smh, crooked, the lot of ‘em… Is there a LEASING option for vape gear?!? Ireful3

RE: The new Triton 2
New vaping gear is being released so quickly these days it's difficult even for the professional reviewers to keep up. Regarding the original Triton, many people were bemoaning the difficulty of cleaning and not being able to fully take it apart, so some will see the V2 as progress, but I agree, getting rid of the top vent is a backwards step. This is the problem, just because a manufacturer can release a new version of their product doesn't mean they should IMO. I'd rather have a shorter release cycle but higher quality and better (rather than just different) design.

Some people would say more choice is good for the consumer. One only has to look at the number of TV channels available these days to see that the "more is better" mantra isn't always true.

I think we're in the 'gold rush' period of vaping at the moment and it's getting ridiculous. I actually think the ridiculously fast expansion in the market, both of hardware and software (the juices) is forcing regulation upon us. Even without regulation I see the market maturing at some point in the next few years - just as the mobile phone market is doing now, and I for one look forward to that time.

RE: The new Triton 2
The Triton 1 is a good tank. The Triton 2 doesn't appear to be THAT much better, so I don't think you should feel to bad X. I bought them before 2 was announced also. I'm fine with it. You have a nice tank, whichever V they deem it to be. Don't fret.

And while I'm certainly not made of money, it's not like you bought a '15 model car only to find the '16 is worlds better and far improved for the same money you paid. It's double digit dollars, not 5 or 6 digit big bucks. In other words- don't sweat the petty things, and don't pet the sweaty things.
