Terrible Weather
Good Afternoon everyone - although it is not for a lot of people - here in the UK and in America. Bad flooding here in the UK in parts of Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria and in the USA it has been tornados and lots of people killed in Texas and around the Mississippi. It would be nice to hear from you all to say you are safe and well - all the best.

RE: Terrible Weather
Fine here apart from a stinker of a cold. It's bright and clear here now and just above freezing.

RE: Terrible Weather
Hi Don - glad you are OK - thanks for 'reporting in'. It is lovely and sunny here today and not cold at all - it is this mild weather of course that is causing the problem - it is always the same if we have a mild winter.

It seems to be overcast or raining in the Midlands.. always!
No life threatening weather here ecig, we tend not to get much in the way of severity in these parts, luckily!

RE: Terrible Weather
Yeah, it's been some scary stuff. Last night, a tornado touched down in Garland, TX which is all of about 5 miles from where I live in Plano, TX. Death toll is already at 11 and they're still scouring and assessing the breadth of the damage; they expect it'll go up...

I'm from the north where tornado sirens are only heard when they test them, so I'm really desensitized to them; I need to break that habit because down here in the south, when you hear them, it generally means a very real and eminent threat. I heard them last night and was more annoyed than anything; to wake up and find 11 people were killed 5 miles from where I was trying to sleep is both terrifying and humbling...

There's no ‘I’ in ‘TEAM.’ There’s no ‘U’ either. It doesn’t appear the TEAM needs us, so let’s go grab a beer!Drinks

Terrifying and humbling - nothing truer than that - there is only one boss on this planet - Mother Nature.

RE: Terrible Weather
No tornadoes here but massive flooding. Solid heavy rain for two days now and continuing tomorrow. Dry so far at the house but it's rough.

RE: Terrible Weather
Unseasonably warm (9C, 50F) and very thick fog here today. I doubt the fog will lift any time soon.

RE: Terrible Weather
Quite warm here we are lucky in Cardiff flood wise, My heart goes out to those who have had Xmas ruined this year. My son has been deployed a few time for floods up north and is on standby today.
