TFV8 coil materials
Which coils for the TFV8 can do TC?  I have been digging deep and find almost nothing telling me what the coil materials are.

RE: TFV8 coil materials
Atavar, I know TC doesn't work with Kanthal. Most new mods work with Stainless Steal, and a bunch of others. If you are buying premade coils it should say on the box if it's good for TC.

Have your read all the coil info in the FAQ Section?

Yeah, it *should* but it doesn't.  Even the Smoktech website doesn't say what material the various coils use.  I am becoming an unfan of Smoketech.

You can't go wrong with 316L Stainless Steel coils.

RE: TFV8 coil materials
As far as I can tell its just Kanthal coils as of now. I have seen videos on youtube of people rebuilding their TFV4 TF-S6 coils, I don't see any reason why you couldn't do something similar but using 316 SS and then using TC, as long as your safe about it. Does your tank have an RBA deck? If so that might be your best bet to use TC.

Just seen your post in the "What did you get today" thread Tongue. Well, hopefully SMOK comes out with some TC coils soon!

If you tell me the length of the wire and resistance I'll tell you the material..
