RE: TC mods
True temperature control would be a whole new ballgame.

What we have just now is temperature limiting. It won't go above a preset temperature - which is guessed at by measuring the resistance of the coil continually. Very nearly every material that conducts rises in resistance with temperature. Stainless steel has a much smaller temperature variation in resistance than nickel - which is why they started with nickel.

I find that the more simple-minded chipsets can take a while to realise the coil has cooled.

And turn up in TK Maxx for next to nothing a year later. Throw too many functions into a gadget and they always end up not selling.

RE: TC mods
hmm , a different conect . logic would support a 2 point push lock system with 1 being larger to prevent reverse conection .

im after more vapor ,and wilder coil builds . a rda with caliper styled post may be a game changer .

Why be normal when wierd is so much fun.

RE: TC mods
Joyetech is working on it, I mean a true temperature sensor in the head. And yes, no 510 anymore. This connector has caused many probs anyway.

I am sure there still will be people who like to experiment with different coils, heads batteries etc. But that can not be the mass market. The future is getting it out of the geeks and nerds corner and having devices which are safe und enjoyable to use for everyone.

RE: TC mods
Indeed Peter. Most people just aren't interested in making coils, trying different wicks and all the fiddly stuff many of us enjoy.

I would like to exchange geek and nerd with the word enthusiast. I have been made aware the former can have a connotation of antisocial and somewhat strange person. This is not how I see vapers. Thanks for this, and pls accept my appologies.

RE: TC mods
peter-k, I have no problem being labeled either geek or nerd. After all we are the ones making the money and spending the dollars, no. and coming up with the ideas!  Idea

RE: TC mods
Heck, calling me a nerd would only rank about 9th on the bad names scale I've been called, and that's just counting today.
