On my RC forum I am known as the king of "back order". Well guess what. I went to Red juice and the ambrosia is (you guessed it) on back order. Dash1

Great Thanks. There is something about the name that just sounds good. BUT! I have wasted a few dollars on "good sounding" names. Should be good though.

It is a "dry" custard.

It's good

Paul - I'm curious; did you drill those holes after finding this thread, or did you come to that conclusion on your own?  I'm curious to know how many other people saw it as a no-brainer the second they tried the rebuild deck.

Well I stuck the 0.5 ohm OCC in first and was impressed with the straight out of the box perfomace, then had a compare of the spare OCC and RBA and the tiny juice holes in it. I had come across a few negative comments while doing a bit of pre purchase research and also seen a guide on how to widen the channels in the base, when I stuck the RBA and OCC side by side the large side hole in the OCC (apart from the round vs square design) is the big difference deciding that I doubted I could get holes in the base big enough to compete I wondered about cutting up from the bottom of the side wall (bet all this is sounding familiar). After 5 mins with google abut the subtank RBA found your post and here we are, got to admit I would probably have just tried to modify the juice channels in the base first if not for this post. This is so much easier than messing with the base under 5 minutes work to do and my results on VG heavy juice is very good, really good consistent dense clouds no flooding or gurgling not had any dry hits or burnt wicks the spare RBA I ordered will get the same treatment

RE: SubTank RBA dry hit/wicking troubles SOLVED!!
I've just had a couple of new rba's delivered from myepack I just ordered the standard "Mini RBA" but they sent "Mini RBA Plus" and guess what they have holes in the sidewall so no more need to mess about. The holes are set a little lower than the ones I drilled ( had to drill them and miss the threads top and bottom ) the RBA Plus has a push fit base/deck with a small retaining screw in the side.
Always nice to see evolution in products.
