RE: Stainless TC coils
Well, my wife's RX300 is on the fritz due to the juice bath, but mine's been stable since the conversion, which is why I'm happy with it and recommending. If you aren't having issues and it is under warranty, it's probably best to hold off.

RE: Stainless TC coils
So I spent the day playing with the TC ramp up on the 300. I have to say, it's VERY impressive. And I even have to say, it actually outpaces the iPV8 which lacks that feature. Regular TC works great on well-designed mods, no doubt. And straight up regular TC between AF and YiHi still goes in favor of YiHi. But having the myriad options and temp curve settings available in Arctic Fox is really a bar-setter and game changer. I really highly recommend the conversion if your mod is a candidate.

AF with the TC ramp up is virtually indistinguishable from power mode. It is really awesome. The more I tweak, the more I like.

RE: Stainless TC coils
Another thing I like about the pre-heat curve is that you can adjust it out to 5 seconds. So what I've found to be perfect for now, is a gradual boost up to 50% above the regular temp over the first 50ms, with a gradual falloff to 25% under for the next 50ms, then a slow recovery over the next 3s back to the selected temperature the rest of the time. It looks like a poorly formed sine wave but it works great. It gives me a quick heat up, then a dropoff so it isn't too harsh the rest of the time. It's so flippin' adjustable to everyone's preferences it's awesome. So much so that I'm going to use the RX300 as the high watt TC daily driver until it physically craps out again. I can't say enough good things about AF, if you haven't noticed. Anyone who can, and likes to tinker to find the best vape you've ever had, convert yesterday.

Paul and Don can attest. And when Ray plays around with it more, I'm sure he will agree too.

RE: Stainless TC coils
That is one thing I need to play around with. I have been reading on the power curve and what it does and principles behind it. Now I just need to put it into action, I guess you would say.

RE: Stainless TC coils
The curve I'm using. As you can see, nearly infinitely adjustable.

100 is the baseline temp chosen, as in 100% of chosen temp, as in "I will fire the mod at 100% of your chosen temp power" (50w in my case). Going above and below adjusts off the base selection accordingly.

RE: Stainless TC coils
I readjusted the curve right now, dropping the final output down considerably. I've always had to cut off warm vapes earlier than I wanted because for me, they just got too warm over time and I'd cough out. Just setting the whole thing lower took too long to ramp up to a warm enough level, so it was always either/or. Now I can go as long as my little lungs can without overheating my throat, while starting out warm as well. Every time I adjust something, I shake my head even more.

This is one of those 'revolutionary' things I've talked about in the past- something that comes along and profoundly changes vaping. I don't know how this matches up to DNA chipsets, but this takes a low end mod and makes it an Olympic performer. That's revolutionary.

And I just saw that I can move the time scale out to 25 seconds, which means I can control the temp as long as any human could ever possibly inhale. Wonderment.
