Question Stainless Steel
Hi Guys. Once the WISMEC Reuleaux RX200 TC 200W Box Mod turns up I'll have 3 Temp control mods. So I guess its time I started building coils to use my question is where's the best place to buy Stainless steel wire....

RE: Stainless Steel
I use these guys. They trade under a whole bunch of names - Crazy Wire Company is them too. As are a dozen or so other names.

The ones who think Scotland (And presumably Wales too) is overseas...

They're a bit clueless but I've had no problems.

RE: Stainless Steel
I don't know which grades of stainless steel it is set up for - there are lots and lots of these with different electrical and thermal properties.

RE: Stainless Steel
316 & 316l are recommended,  not 304,430,317l.

RE: Stainless Steel
As a follow up can you use stainless for Clapton coils or has it got to be nichrome? Not done any before but fancy having a go

RE: Stainless Steel
Hey, reviving a zombie thread here but I've got a question that relates...

I've got a FT gift card since I cancelled my RX200 order (Thanks, TinWhisker!) so I'm thinking about getting some stainless wire. You say 316 or 316L is the way to go. I'm wondering what gauge I should use, any suggestions on good SS builds? I'm thinking about 26/32 FCs, I've never tried TC with SS though so I'm really just guessing. Suggestions please?
