Copper would be great for cunducting, but from my understanding it's hard to get a good knurling in it. Not that you said that's what you'd want, but I think a good mix of flashlight features in the mix would be cool. Could even be done with aluminum and be treated with ha-iii so it wouldn't weigh a ton. But this would be more of a desktop mod for me

I've done some other rough sketches, I could kind of clean them up and get dimensions and maybe get a rough idea what it would cost.
VoB would probably be pricey, I bet tube and tailcap would be close to 100, but maybe a cnc shop with automated machining on a small run could bring the price down

I was thinking we need to do a meet up. I'm hoping not to recommence any more gords family projects......then I have time for gords projects Smoke

Edit. Given the size of the mod, I'd probably just turn equidistant rings into the body rather than knurl it, its going to be similar to a mag c in diameter lol and getting on for 100mm long at least

$100 is probably to much for my budget if it was to go that high (maybe). This is a great idea!

I think the top cap looks better that way. Also was thinking a tail switch would be easier to figure out, but like Graham said, its basically a single C-cell Maglite youd be wielding.

I still really like the idea of a very aggressive knurl on the battery tube. Maybe an aluminum battery tube knurled out and matte black HA-III, stainless tail cap and top cap.

I think I am putting way too much thought into something that will most likely never see the light of day Sarcastic_hand

I'm loving those ideas Pulsar, I'm with you on Aluminium too, it'd be light, conduct well and it's nice to machine and work with (for the guys who know how)

I find with silver it has to be shiny but with gold colours I prefer a satin finish.

Actually Bronze is a lovely coloured metal when cleaned up - I wonder Tongue
