Iron Maiden on order....Doing it and doing it right with RDTA Smile

I've used and do use the RBA that came with the TFV8 - definitely takes some practice (and a little luck) - when done right, is amazing but otherwise will leak or not feed juice properly and be a pita as to adjust requires you to empty the tank...

Had also tried the RBA in the CROWN tank (not the TFV8 one - the UWELL version) - that was a complete fail - tried several times and finally gave up...

Paul, I never doubt you, but in my opinion RDTA's deliver superior flavor and vapor due to the placement of the deck. And the elimination of gravity induced leaking. And that you can use it as an RDA if desired without filling the tank.

Since I've had new RDAs lately to play with, I have placed my AVOCADO 24s on the shelf but do think of them and will bring them back into rotation any day now.....a great way to drip with a reduced risk of dry hits! Smile I have one of mine on single coil and one dual - best of both worlds! Tongue

I heard the Crown RBA wasn't worth effort when I asked about getting it when I bought my first Crown. PaulS says the RBA for the Cleito is great. I'm personally in love with RDTAs. So easy to build and lovely flavor and clouds.

It's on loan to one of my colleagues...heard from him today - he hasn't smoked at all since NYE. I gifted him the FREAKSHOW Mini and he also uses that ...I told him today he needs another mod so he doesn't have to be switching attys... Smile Another 30+ year smoke on his way to a better future! Got the Cleito on an impulse buy at my favorite local B&M, the RBA deck is pretty decent. But I don't like how "cheap" the Cleito is in build quality. I vaped on it for a few days then migrated it to the FDA Apocalypse Stash.

The Crown I with the RBA deck I actually still keep it in my regular rotation. While building on it took some time to get it right I found the right combination for me. I use a 30x2/38 317L FC around a 2mm di @ around 0.3 Ohms positioned just a tad above the airflow. I then fluff the cotton, cut the tails from the base up at a 45° angle, then smooth the cotton up, carefully put the cap on and gently place the cotton dry. The key is dry placement of the cotton before you juice and test fire.

Gives me a damn good flavorful vape with no dry hits and decent airflow. It took me a while to find the right combination that works for me but it was worth the effort, love that Tank. I also have the Crown Mini, it's a little flavor beast.

RE: Should I try an RTA
Maybe I need to play with the Crown I RBA some more - tried it and it leaked and leaked and gave it up like you did with the CLEITO. As I noted I loaned my Cleito but I also have the 120 and will agree in quality it doesn't look as well made as the TFV8, it functions extremely well...
