Shorted and not sorted
My Topside squonk has developed an intermittent problem where it some times shows "SHORTED" on the display. I changed out the coil in my Dead Rabbit and the issue persisted, as it stands I've tried several different atties to no avail. Maybe it's a software issue!!!!!!
No worries though it forced me to dig out the trusty Sigelie 100w which I'm using with the Limitless plus. [They just don't make them like they use to lol] To be honest it's a pleasant change from sqounking. For those who may care I'll pop back with updates as they occur

Those old Sigelei 100/150W mods are just about the best that have been made.

They just keep working, unlike almost everything else on the market.

Keep us posted Rob. I haven't had the opportunity to get into the city and grab one from the only B+M shop I know that carries it. May postpone that purchase until I get some more feedback on potential issues....

RE: Shorted and not sorted
Update: The problems seems to have righted itself, I'm now using it with the original Dead Rabbit I was using when the problem arose. So to say the least I am baffled as to the cause. I suppose it could've been the cell which was in the mod at the time because all my cells are over 3 years old. I have six in rotation for this mod so time will tell.

I'd like to add don't let this put you off buying the mod because the top fill is quite simply Awesome. I've had some bad luck with mods even my RSQ developed a problem with the 510 being loose yet everyone swears by it.

I had a similar problem with my MRN RTA. Could not get it to work on my tube mech. I changed the coil, wicked it differently, put it on my Asmodus Amighty and now it is just excellent. I almost gave up on the RTA when it was on the tube. I was getting no vapor qwith a .1 ohm coil. Now with a .15 coil on a regulated it is great at 72 watts. No idea why I could not get it to woprk on any of my tubes?

RE: Shorted and not sorted
Here's an oddity to look for with anyone who buys the Topside Dual... When I first set them up, the wife's would not squonk. I squished pretty hard and nothing happened. I checked, and the juice path was clear from the atty to the connection tube. Turns out the black bottle it comes installed with was malfunctioning. The spare worked fine. It seems the inner tube is just a bit too long and pushes on the bottom when squished. A quick trim cleared it.

The odd part is, I saw a review on mvpro (where I got mine) this morning and someone else has said the same thing about theirs too. Something to watch for I guess.
