Series
So I recently purchased a series mech mod. I'm used to building on a single battery mech mod and I'm wondering what the safe level is for ohms when building for series. I've heard no lower than .3, No lower than .4, and ive also heard nowhere under .6.

To be safe .4 although I have built .3 many times. If you are building below .4 ohms you need top batteries - sony or samsung - and you need to pay attention that the mod is NOT heating up. Now a .5 ohm build is very comfortable. At full power at .4 you are getting around 150+ watts assuming some drop due to batteries, connections etc. At ,5 you are getting 125" watts - more than enough for me. A .3 ohm build is really taxing your batteries drawing 26 amps at over 200 watts.

RE: Series
Which series mod did you get? General rule of thumb is not under 0.3Ω however there are other factors, main one being which cells you are using in the mod.

I have several series mods. I tend to build and use most of my series mods in the 0.3Ω-0.6Ω range. Most important thing is ensuring you are using safe cells (batteries).

I have 2 NC v1 and 1 NC II - on the v1 I use the Indestructible RDA....my usual builds on it are 24g A1, 9 wrap, 3.0mm id @ 0.42Ω amazing performance and flavour! Smile

RE: Series
The hg2's are not the best performers in mech, iirc theyre actual 18-20a.. works out at just under .25 for a single battery mech but aim for .3 to be safe.

RE: Series
In my opinion the best for series/mech mods are SONY VTC4/5/5a/6 cells....
