RE: Antifreeze
The unflavored base, or solvent, or carrier, if you like is Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin. This is a touchy point to some vapors as many moons ago the "anti's" ran around yapping that vapors smoked antifreeze. Ya, they were dumber that a box-a-rocks but even the media picked up on it. But than that's just another box-a-rocks.

Well the juice is slightly viscous and a bit sticky so I am guessing the base is some sort of glycol or glycerine? Have you ever spilled a bit of antifreeze onto a hot exhaust manifold? Well the steam smells and tastes quite similar to vaping and car antifreeze is made from ethylene glycol. The trouble for me is that the ingredient list on the juice I have is printed in duch a tiny font I simply cannot read it!
You are getting your glycols mixed up - the ones used in ejuice are used in food preparation every day and have been for years - I think you had better get some decent juice - if you like tobacco flavours try mixing a Turkish juice with a Virginia 50/50 - no antifreeze tastes there - if it is decent juice.

Yes - and I think this is an ''anti'' as well.

Well that explains it then as propylene glycol is also used as antifreeze in applications where a food grade product is needed such as the drinking water system in an RV in storage outside over winter. Do you know if you can get e juices that are not based on propylene glycol? What function does it serve in e juice?

It does not explain anything - any more mention of antifreeze and this thread will be closed.

RE: Antifreeze
Why? Because trolls like to catfish vaping forums claiming to be vapers but actually with the intention of adding misinformation and intentional lies to make vaping look bad.

PG is also an ingredient in makeup and mass-produced milk chocolate, as well as many other things. Vaping and antifreeze have NO relationship and any mention is almost certainly introduced by a troll. That is why.

We do not abide trolls here so if you wish to continue to mention antifreeze, your time on vaping forums will be short lived.

RE: Antifreeze
Antifreeze? Really? You could have put Sugar instead that would've been more acceptable. To associate e liquid with antifreeze is ludicrous

Vaping Saves Lives. To vape is to advocate..

Well I am very sorry for my transgression but I assure you guys I am not a troll, nor am I antivaping either. I am 58 and until June last year I have smoked since I was about 14. I am thrilled to have discovered vaping as it genuinely satisfies my need for smoking without actually smoking. I had no idea people troll vsping forums (can't think why they would waste their time- what possible harm could somebody else vaping do to them?). I asked in the first place because I just don't like the sweet (slightly synthetic) taste I get on my lips when I use my device and I was hoping to find out whether an e juice exists that is not based on something sweet tasting.

RE: Antifreeze
What you will soon find if you continue on with vaping forums is a LOT of misleading anti-vaping propaganda. You will soon understand why the vaping community is defensive and on guard; it is with good reason. You will also soon see why your statement mentioning antifreeze, in any context, is an immediate red flag for anyone who has researched vaping and has seen the copious amounts of flat out lies put out by anti-vaping zealots.

Please do not refer to that in the future.
