Question Rules on bringing a vape on a plane?
Hello so I was wondering about something because I can't seem to find it anywhere. I live in NY and I'm going to California and while I'm there I plan on buying a vape set for a present to a friend of mine. And I want to keep the product in its original container and bring it back with me on the plane to NYC through my carry on bag. Does anyone know if thats allowed? Like putting the box in my bookbag or do I have to check it in? Or would it be better that I take it out of the box and store it in my bookbag? Also would I be able to bring e juice with me?

I don't think you could bring juice with you, since there are restrictions on the size of bottles which can be carried on a plane. My mom flew recently and had to throw away her mini water bottle, I don't understand it at all but it's a rule. I don't know for sure about the vape set, I would assume it should be fine, but I can't say for sure. My best suggestion would be to call up the airline, ask to speak with the manager, and ask them. They might not allow it, since vaping on a plane could potentially set off a fire alarm, and they can't trust you to keep it in the package and not use it, but there are some airlines that let people vape, and if the one you're using allows vaping on a plane then there should be no reason whatsoever to not allow it.

Yeah, but as far as the airline is concerned, they can't trust you not to use it, so if you're not allowed to vape on a plane I'm sure they wouldn't let you carry it on either. But if you are allowed to vape on the plane, then you'd be allowed to carry it.

I'm old enough to remember every aircraft seat having an ashtray built into the arms. In the early 1980's I remember being shocked in South Africa by smoking being common in food shops. By the staff.

I don'[t actually have a problem with not being allowed to vape or smoke on aircraft. And I've done a lot of long flights in my time.

From what I have heard, you're allowed to carry ejuice in your hand luggage as long as the size of the bottle doesn't exceed 100ml
