RE: Quick Poll
I quit smoking, but have no intention of quitting nicotine. Once you realize that nicotine isn't what's bad in cigarettes, it's all the tar, then there's no real reason to cut nicotine and it serves as a great stress reliever. For me anyway.

RE: Quick Poll
the day I tried vaping was the day I stopped smoking
that was about 2 years ago
I was a heavy smoker for over 30 years
I have low nicotine now but like Michael I don't intend to stop using it

if at first you don't succeed ,call it version 1.0

RE: Quick Poll
Smoked for 25 years and quit about 8 years ago the day I started vaping. I do however smoke cigs at parties. That is only a couple times a year. In the last 8 years I might have smoked two packs total, that is down from 2 packs a day of Kools. In fact I completely quit smoking before I quit drinking. But when I gave up drinking 2 and a half years ago. It drove me nuts going to a party and walking around the straight guy. So I have cigs and walk around with a glass of Pop/Soda. That's only at parties where people are drinking heavily. It's funny but it kind of lets me feel like I'm partying so I don't want a beer so damn bad. I always pay for it the next day because I wake up coughing and hacking like I did before. It reminds me why I vape instead of smoke 99% of the time.

I have no plans to give up nicotine but I'm down from 36mg to about 8mg but that is only because with my setup I can't do more nic without it burning my throat. I have no problem with nic it's the tar I don't want.

I say all this to remind people that it's OK if you never quit completely. If you use e-cigs to cut your smoking down you have still helped yourself a ton. Also I don't want smokers thinking that vape heads like me look down on them. All kinds of people look down on smoking and vaping and want them both banned, I don't want to join them in their Anti-Crusade. So if you completely quit good for you, if you vape just because you like it good for you too! If it's half and half or any other combo, right on!

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

RE: Quick Poll
I quit after about a year of vaping. Been over 4 years now.

I still use nicotine, and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I use 18-24mg typically

I do still crave them once in a the though. When you catch a whiff of a freshly lit cigarette, or when I smell a black n mild... I still have very vivid dreams of smoking too.
I smoked half my life when I quit, 12 or 13 years. Tried quitting several times, but none of the other methods worked

RE: Quick Poll
I smoked for 25 years, quit the day I started vaping 8 months ago. Decreasing nic gradually, on 3mg now, plan to be nic free for Christmas. Tried to smoke an actual cigarette on a night out at Christmas. It was heinous, took several tequilas to get rid of the taste Tongue
