Question about first Battery Wrap

My question is I guess the bottom of this wrap was a little long... Is it safe to use? Even though the ends are kinda frayed up like that.

RE: Question about first Battery Wrap
That should be fine as long as it makes contact properly with the mod. If it doesn't, though judging by the marks on the base, it will, then trim a little off with a sharp knife.

Just make sure the wrap still goes round the "corner" at the bottom of the cell.

I usually cut the heatshrink a little too long and then trim it once I'm done.

I just used the battery for the first time with the new wrap and its ok I made sure the bottom connection wasnt pushing against the shrink wrap.. Thank you for the welcome!

EDIT: I used a pair of nail clippers to expose a little more of the area while still covering the edges

RE: Question about first Battery Wrap
Welcome to the Forum!

I would rewrap it, it will work fine but I made the experience (my first wrap was simmilar to yours) that it will peel of pretty soon if you change it sometimes.

Enjoy your stay here.

I was thinking the very same about that frayed, over wrapped end. The integrity of the wrap is already compromised.

All it takes is the tiniest little slit, and then with regular use it will get bigger and bigger.

It is like those frustrating plastic seals on the top of some bottles. It is hard to get open but just the tiniest slit starts it.

RE: Question about first Battery Wrap
Yeah I wouldn't rewrap it until it tears past the edge, or gets a nick in it elsewhere.

I buy pre-cut wraps to eliminate any irritating trimming or obstruction. Cheap enough for me, anyway.
