I'm switching to phase 2 of the patch tomorrow, 10 days or so early.
I have to quit before my neck fusion next month or I'll likely have healing bad like all the other surgeries.

The patches, lozenges and vaping may be counter productive to your goal. Try losing the patches and lozenges and just try vaping it may work it may not but hey it's worth a try.

I second this!
It is worth a try! Sounds like nic overload, but I am well aware that everyone's body works differently.
However, the more nic you are using, the nastier your withdrawals will be. I suggest goung through withdrawals, if you even get nic withdrawals, before your surgery, and not after. (I know that is what you are attempting.)
You might be surprised, but, I never really noticed a nic withdrawal. It took quitting cigs cold turkey and taking up nic with a clean body for me to realize that MY withdrawal symptoms came from all the other alkaloids and additives in tobacco. The nic is seriously benign in comparison...
I am convinced you are using the nic as a preventative instead of enjoying it and it is counterproductive. If it stresses your body, then you will crave comfort. So you will crave, and crave until yoir body gets some sort of normal level of chemicals, (other drugs included). Some meds make cravings worse. Opoids make me want tobacco badly. Benzodiazepines make me need all that much less, or if I did smoke, it would kill the benzo benefits fast and make them almost useless. Those are the only meds that made me notice cravings or lack thereof. But I have taken no meds for many years. That was just how it was when I smoked.

RE: Question about Nic. %
Nicotine is not going to stop your healing process - cutting it out altogether will not make any difference. Why does Nicotine get the blame for every illness and physical complaint on the planet[Image: huh.gif]

Really no idea what you're talking about but I said nowhere its gonna heal me except it WILL make the bones fuse faster, that is a fact!!!

Yes, I am trying to quit altogether before my neck surgery, I have enough non related nic issues as it is, just don't need another.

RE: Question about Nic. %
Hi Catfishjohn - I am not going to argue with you - but you did say you need to stop the nic. so that you will not ''heal bad'' after surgery. I only stated that the nic. will make no difference to the healing process at all. Best of luck with the surgery - let us know how it goes.

I believe it is the other toxins contained in cigarette smoke that is the major factor not nicotine Smile

RE: Question about Nic. %
Hi, saw this thread and need help. I'm new to vaping, it helped me quit smoking 2 months ago. I have a SMOK MAG mod, prince tank with Q4 coil, not sure any of that matters.
I've started buying on eliquid.com website, and I've been discovering some awesome flavors! But sometimes the 0% nic is on sale, but the 3% nic level that I use is not on sale, and costs twice as much!! This is not ALWAYS the case, but sometimes. Look here -
https://www.eliquid.com/products/lushice...6891020097

So my question is - Can I buy nicotine and add it myself? I know there is also nic salt, are there different types of nic I should avoid? Does the nic get weighed? Or measured with a syringe to calculate the nic level?
Question 2 - also on eliquid.com, I stumbled across some liquid that seems to be an additive - look here -
https://www.eliquid.com/products/flavourart-meringue

Read the description, it sounds like you can vape it alone OR add it to a flavor you already have. It says suggested percentage 2-3%
What's the deal with this product? It just seems different than other juice because it is sold in so many sizes, up to 10 liters!!

Hoping someone can help me here, thanks!

RE: Question about Nic. %
3% nic is very high high. It may be too much dilution of the flavour.

You'd normally get nicotine at 100mg/ml (10%)mstrength. In fact without suitable equipment and premises you won't be able to buy higher strength solutions. At least without breaking several laws.

So you have (for example) 100ml of 0 nic liquid. You want 100ml of 3% nicotine which is 3000mg of nicotine. Which is 30ml of nicotine solution. This would be too much dilution. Actually, if you add 30ml to your 100ml you now have 130ml containing 3000mg of nicotine. Which is 23mg/ml and you want 30. You need to add 40ml of nicotine solution to get 3%.

If, as I suspect, you actually mean 0.3% or 3mg/ml nicotine then it is doable. You'd then need to add 3ml of 100mg/ml nicotine solution to 100ml of 0 nic juice. Which will make little or no difference to the flavour.

RE: Question about Nic. %
Yes! That's what I meant, most of my liquid says 3mg/ml nicotine. So I just need to shop for 100mg/ml nicotine solution? That would be great, because I could slowly reduce the nicotine level to eventually eliminate the addiction. Hope it works, but I think I will keep on vaping even without nicotine, I really like it!
Thanks for the info Don!

RE: Question about Nic. %
That meringue flavor is a concentrate. It would need to be diluted to a certain percentage to be enjoyable. They weren't clear on the site how it can be "vaped by itself".

If you diluted it by adding 3% to a 27% propelyne glycol and 70% vegetable glycerin base, then it would make a "single flavor" Meringue 30/70 0%nic juice to vape.

The example is below in a calculator that helps with that:
