PG and VG?
Hey guys, I'm trying to find PG and VG in a local store, because I hate waiting for stuff I order online, and I was just wondering if you folks know where to get them. I took a look at Walgreens but I didn't see either of them, but I could have been looking in the wrong section. I think they have VG at Walmart, can anyone tell me if THIS STUFF is safe to use? It's marketed as a skin protector, and has a warning label so it's got me a little worried, but it says it's 99.5% VG. So what's the other .5% then?
Apparently PG can be bought at farm supply stores...? Idk, that's what someone said on another site when I was searching, but I just wanted to check if you guys have any ideas before I go running all over the known universe looking for this stuff.

RE: PG and VG?
Personally, I'd not be keen on  that VG.

USP grade is what you want, but not when mixed with who knows what for skin softener.

RE: PG and VG?
Also, I've seen on other forums that people are using PG from Tractor Supply Co. Is that as unsafe as it sounds? Because they sell PG for $23 a gallon so if it's safe to use I'll just get it there. It says it's USP grade, I looked that up and it seems USP means it's the highest quality for use in pharmaceutical or food uses. It just makes me a little leery, what with it being marketed for pigs and all. Apparently it keeps pigs from getting some disease or another. But it's pure USP PG, so I guess it's probably safe, unless someone tells me otherwise. On another forum people said that's what they were using to vape, but of course some people are idiots so I wanted to check with y'all before buying a whole gallon of it.

RE: PG and VG?
USP grade will be fine

PG has antiseptic properties which does help.

Welcome to the joys of 'where the hell am I going to get this stuff from'..... Tongue

Anything genuinely Pharmaceutical Grade is fine but avoid anything with additives like Don said.

Good luck buddy! I hope the DIY turns out well and that you enjoy making new recipes Popcorm2 Drinks

RE: PG and VG?
I would just order it from Wizard labs online. It's cheap I think it's around $25 0r $30 a gallon and they ship fast you'll have it if 3 or 4 days. I know you hate to wait, so do I but there is no question on what you are getting when you buy there.

I'm definitely enjoying making new recipes, no doubt about that Smile I've always loved to cook, and I have been told that I'm a great cook but I never use a recipe, it just sorta comes natural to me. So DIY is only logical Tongue
