Old-School Clearo's And Bottom Coils Hard To Get
For years now. I have been using clearomizers with Smok Tech bottom coils. I vape mouth-to-lung. I use 1.5 to 1.8 ohm coils, because I like the smaller volume, rich-flavor vapor. I buy pre-made coils, and replace the wicking with cotton. I am beginning to have trouble finding these coils. I have tried winding my own coils, but wasn't much good at it. Does anyone know of equipment that will give similar performance as those 1-2 ohm coils? Thanks.

Sorry your having trouble sourcing your preferred coils. I can't really advise you as I took to making my own coils simply because I could no longer get the ones I like. It  does get easier and even enjoyable after a time to make your own, and know you are self reliant and not dependent on manufacturers whims. RETT

RE: Old-School Clearo's And Bottom Coils Hard To Get
Unfortunately as vape gear progresses, the old stuff gets harder to find. Does not mean it is inferior to new gear, not at all. Sometimes new stuff comes out that is superior to old stuff, but often times old stuff stands the test of time well. It's a shame too. I've twice had to leave behind gear I liked because some bits and bobs just aren't able to be had anymore.

Now, at those Ohms, we have a fellow here that is both very wise and has a large collection of gear suited for your application. He is Eddie, aka ecignut, and he will definitely be able to give you a strong recommendation. If he does, you'd be wise to listen.

He'll be along soon I'm sure. He's quite old and sleeps about 20 hours a day but he'll be here.

Hi Niles - don't listen to TW - I only sleep 18 hours a day.[Image: tongue.gif]
For mouth to lung vaping with easy to find coils there are two main choices of tank. The Nautilus2 which has the following coils:- 1.8ohm, 1.6ohm and 1.2ohm there is also a .7ohm coil . The power you need is roughly 9W; 10W; 10.7W and 14W respectively.
The other tank is the Eleaf GS series - they come with a 1.5ohm and a 1.2ohm coil. Vaping at roughly at 10.3 and 11W. These are by far the best MTL vapes around - IMO. Best of luck and enjoy.

The Aspire K1 plus tank will fit your bill. It comes with the BVC Nichrome coil which is really good but it will take any Aspire BVC coils or Spryte coils (wjhich arte also good). They are dirt cheap as well. I pick them up on sites for 10 bucks. It's a really nice little MTL tank. I peersonally prefer the NI80 coils but the Spryte coils have nice flavor too.

The K1 is a nice tank but it has a Ego type fitting so that on a standard mod you would need an adaptor. It was actually my first tank after using the throw away type when I first started vaping.[Image: smile.gif] How times change.

The new K1 plus has the adaptor on when you get it. Also a top fill. Yes, times have changed.
