RE: OK, this whole TC thing... Quick question.
Nice Mike, way to go. So I swapped the wife's cotton yesterday. She was not complaining of bad taste (except in husbands). The coil was remarkably clean given that it was used for 12 days straight. And the cotton had darkened within the coil tube but was not degraded or burnt. If I have to swap cotton every other week, I am not complaining.

But I can't solely credit TC for the clean state of the cotton. The Iron Maiden has a ceramic cap that goes over the deck to eliminate spitting, and it also has the effect of collecting the darkened condensation on top of that cap rather than allowing it to settle down on the build. So it's a combination of both things, I have concluded.

That Titanium wire is out for delivery so I guess I will try it. How does the resistance compare to Kanthal? I know I can, but it's easier to just ask.

the arc pico is surprisingly efficient in tc mode with SS , Ni im not overly impressed with but that may just be my build.

TW don't dry pulse the Ti , it goes pop real easy.

Fascinating, this Titanium. Watching the resistance fluctuate is really something. I can see where it's better for TC.

Speaking of which, I am running my Ti build as we type. It's pretty obviously much better at TC than the SS was. The SS was fine, of course, but the Laisimo seems to have a significantly easier time regulating the temp than it did with the SS. It's too early to just say anything too definitively, but Ti has a big lead at this early stage in the comparison race.

Chuck, I didn't see your post about dry pulsing. I dry-pulsed it at 20w in power mode, to just barely glowing, not even dull tomato red, not really even black cherry red. The coil has blued like the SS did, is that OK? It didn't go pop thankfully.

Pretty colors on coils is cool.

I think I'm going to lose my battery life gains using this Ti wire. It's so much more accurate now, I have had to turn up the power and temperature a lot more than it was before since it's apparently a lot more efficient on the ol' resistance scale. For reference, this is a .39 dual build at 48W and 250C right now. 26g Ti, 3.0mm ID (slightly larger than 3.0 because it's so springy it didn't wrap super tightly around the winder), 14 wraps each single strand.

It was crazy watching the resistance fluctuate so rapidly with the slightest press of the button. Cool. Not used to seeing that. I thought I had a loose connection for a second there.

I've only been using it a short while, but first impression is the SS is 'cleaner'.
