Noob!
Once my juice runs out I want to start doing it myself to save money in the long run. I've seen "kosher" 1 gallon of vegetable glycerin for like 25 bucks on amazon. Is this ok to buy?

I know I need PG too. Idk where good, cheap places to get large amounts are. Idk how long juice is ok to steep, so I don't know if I need a gallon. I know i need syringes (how many?), flavorings, PG, VG, and nicotine. Is the nicotine and flavorings PG based usually? I dont' know how much that would throw off my math.

Basically I plan to make it myself so I save money in the long run, but even now I vape about 50 mL a week, and my site only costs 6.99 for 30 ml and 35.99 for one flavor for 240 mL so I want to know that it'll make it even cheaper than that overall.

Any help is appreciated.

RE: Noob!
It's cheaper for you to DIY. There's an upfront cost due to the bulk supplies as well as syringes, bottles, etc, but it more than evens out. I'm a bit under $2 per 60ml bottle, and I did not go the cheapest way possible. In fact, almost all of my concentrates were fetched at a premium because I got them directly from the manufacturer rather than third parties (that's just how I am).

Bibloria will be along to link any pertinent threads and FAQ's.

RE: Noob!
By the way, you only need PG if you want it. Almost all flavor concentrates are diluted in PG because it carries flavor better, so with the standard 20% flavoring ratio and all VG added, you're still looking at an 80:20 VG: PG mix (what's called Max VG by the way). If you prefer more PG, then yes you'll need to buy it.

RE: Noob!
80/20 or even 90/10 probably. Yeah I am used to, right now, a 65/35. I started with 80/20 but with my taste buds still probably coming back I could go back to it.

Is it legal to sell mixes through etsy or something like that? I heard soon they're going to make it like impossible to sell eliquid and I hope that doesn't happen! Something like a couple hundred thousand dollars to be able to market a single flavor/pg:vg/nic rating, eliminating most companies.

Mostly I want to do this for myself, but if I could sell some I wouldn't mind it. If you know good sites to get VG and the flavorings let me know. Most sites I see sell liek 15 ml of flavoring for about 13 bucks, which means if I do max VG that could only make about 2-3 30 mL bottles.

I found a link for "Kosher VG 99.7% pure" for 25 bucks idk if that's safe or what I'm looking for in that regard. It's a friggen gallon though lol! Don't know shelf lifes either probably something I need to know before buying such an obscene amount of liquid

RE: Noob!
Shelf life for VG/PG kept in a cool dark place with no strong odours to taint it should be good for several years.

Best to get USP stuff which is intended for ingestion - the kosher stuff may be intended for soap making.

RE: Noob!
Nicotine juices may be restricted, but not flavoring agents. They can be used for many things, not just vaping, so they won't be regulated (I think).

RE: Noob!
I buy PG and VG from bulkapothecary.com where it's super cheap for really good stuff. Iirc it was about $15 for a gallon. Buying flavorings by the 15ml bottle will run up costs quickly. My suggestion: get some small bottles to test flavors, and then once you find some you like, buy big bottles. I buy 4oz bottles of flavoring from Capella's for $20. I can make a 30ml bottle of juice for around $0.80 or so, depending on how much flavoring and nicotine I use. Nicotine is the other pricey bit, I got mine from NicVape and it's very good and not too expensive compared to some other sites.

RE: Noob!
The one I found online was USP kosher for the gallon. Re website you mentioned was only selling 16 oz for 3 and some change. Above that t was sold by the pound which I imagine is solid? Might be better on Amazon cuz I can order via prime.

Know any one stop shops for syringes, empty bottles 30 to 120 ml, 100 mg nicotine base, etc?

RE: Noob!
It's not solid, they just measure everything by weight. 16oz is weight too. 8 lbs of PG comes in a gallon bottle, and 10 lbs of VG comes in a gallon bottle too. I think they do it like that so shipping is easier to calculate.

I think Mt. Baker Vapor has all those things you want, I know I got my syringes and bottles there but I can't remember if they sell concentrated nicotine.
