Night Vision Contact Lenses.
It's just for infra-red but still how cool is that? If I had a set I'd be building a monster IR flashlight to go with them.

Quote:A smart contact lens is in the offing that could give its wearer infrared 'night vision'.
According to researchers from University of Michigan, by placing graphene inside the lens, they can build a sensor capable of capturing infrared light.
A prototype is already here. Smaller than a fingernail, it could one day be built into lenses for soldiers and others who need to see in the dark.
"The layered approach can lead to ultra-thin sensors. We can make the entire design super-thin,"explained Zhaohui Zhong, an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at University of Michigan.

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

I seen a post on the "I fucking love science" facebook page... pretty cool the things they are coming out with. I think it was tonight they posted about a camera that can take pictures flowing through your arteries

Cool, it really is amazing all the stuff they have now.

I bought a little hand held android game player a while back when aliexpress had their 50% deal. I got this thing for about $60. It's a dual core processor, goes on-line and has super reception for wi-fi. Video downloads like nothing. And it plays all kinds of old retro games which are the ones I like. But it will even play newer games.

So now I'm sitting here just taking this thing for granted like it's no big deal.

But really it's a powerful computer sitting in my hands that came all the way from China, for what, about 4 hours of pay? Work half a day and someone hands you a powerful computer that sits in your hands, goes on-line and you can connect to the world with it. You can download and store hundreds if not thousands of arcade games on it for free. Watch movies, listen to music and even radio stations from around the world. A library in your hands as well.

Can you imagine having something like this as a kid? When these games came out I was pumping quarters into pacman machines and my parents still had a black and white TV with four channels.

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

I look back to my first computer I had as a kid. It was an HP something with Windows 3.1 that was probably around $1,000. My cellphone destroys it in every aspect except size, and it was only $50

Wait till you see the size of a dna20 board.

I've been weighing mine up and I can fit it in an altoids tin with two 18650 cells in a cell case lol.

My first computer was an amstrad cpc464.....it used cassettes to load games and programmes for christs sake, now I speak to friends around the world on a device connected to no wires and not much bigger than a fag packet.

Whats the saying? "If you were to teleport a person from the fifties to now, they would be amazed that there is a device that can access most of the knowledge of the human race and fit in a pocket, we usr it to look at boobs and cats....."
