Wink Newbie. How's my setup?
Hello, everyone. Just got a Sigelei 150 watt box mod with temperature control. I'm using a Double Vision RDA by CompVape with clapton coils. My batteries are MXJO 3000 MAH charging on an Intellicharger i2. I'm a little nervous about battery safety because I don't know much about how ohms and volts work on a box mod (I used to vape on those beginner pen style mods). My battery had a little tear in the top but I was told that it's fine with my regulated mod and if it gets worse just to rewrap it. Currently it's at 5.1 volts and 0.35 ohms. Does everything seem legit?

Hey there gd, welcome to tvf

I believe the mxjo 3000 are lghg2 re-wraps and will be totally fine in your mod, actually a good choice.
Big step up from a pen to a dripper.. fair play! As long as you follow the basic coil build rules all will be well.

RE: Newbie. How's my setup?
You've got a great setup there! I'm the first to admit, I'm a big Sigelei fanboy (I'm actually using a Sigelei-100 as I type this) because their mods are so well-made. The Double Vision is a really nice RDA, I've been wanting to get one but can't afford another RDA atm Tongue The Intellicharger is a good one, and I think gentlydoingit* is right that those cells are rewrapped LG HG2s which are some of the best available. So yeah, you've got a really good setup Smile

If you want to learn more about Ohm's Law and how volts, watts, amps and ohms are related, you should check out our FAQ post "What the heck is Ohm's Law?" which goes into detail about how to use math to make sure you're being safe. Of course if you have any questions, we'd be more than happy to answer them, the FAQ section is just a good reference if you don't have specific questions.

And by the way, welcome to the forum! Big Grin

The DV looks pretty sweet, I hadn't seen that one before! If only it had a blue sleeve...

Welcome aboard!

RE: Newbie. How's my setup?
A very nice setup.  My only recomendation would be to drop the voltage a bit; clapton's in the .35 range will be happier around 4.0-4.4 volts (I keep mine right at 4.2).  Your vape won't be quite as warm, your juice will last longer, your batteries will last longer, and you'll barely notice any reduction in vapor production.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! I'm happy to be on the forum. Also, thanks Michael and Almost Jaded for the advice. Dropped my volts to 4.2 and it has helped a lot. Sun_bespectacled

Just saying hello myself. I'm new here as well and to the forums. I've heard a lot of people like Sigelei. The female worker at the nearby store also has one and loves it.
