Hi everyone, just started vaping last Thursday after smoking a pack and a half of Marlboro reds a day for over 30 years.

Haven't had one cigarette since I started. Smile

I'm just starting so got a 20 watt iStick with an Aspire mini Nautilus.

I am wondering how to get more flavor out of my juice. Currently have a 40/60 mix with 21 grams of nicotine.

RE: Newb
That is my set up as well - try the watts between 8.5 and 9 and see how the taste is - mine is set at 8.9 with 1.8ohm coils if you are using 1.6 ohm coils try 9.9 - the best taste is in this region. Welcome to the forum you will get all the help you need here.

Thank you! I've been using 8 watts with 1.8 ohm so I'll increase it a bit to see if it helps.

Thanks! I started out with the intention of just vaping to quit smoking by reducing the nicotine level gradually over time then to quit vaping, but I really like it so I think vaping may become a hobby instead of quitting.

Already looking into higher watt devices and better tanks. Smile

For standard vaping you have a good set up as it is.

If you aren't getting goo d flavor out of that, I would try better juice.  What are you using now?

Congratulations on quitting Rob. That's the hard bit done.

I started out vaping 30-36mg juice...

These days much more than 6 and I cough up things not meant to be coughed up - like toenails.

Have fun finding flavours you like.

Welcome to TVF!
I'm using a black cherry juice that a local vape shop produces in house. It smells amazing when I fill it,but the flavor is not very strong when vaping.

Thanks, I love it so far.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm new to this.

Is it normal to get a burning sensation in the back of your throat or is this considered throat hit?

Not a burnt taste, just a burning sensation in my throat.

RE: Newb
Sounds like "vape tongue" sometimes called "vape throat". The remedy is to drink plenty - preferably water but any non-alcoholic liquid will work.

Propylene glycol (PG) can dry you out a bit so adding to your fluid consumption can eliminate this. Most people don't consume enough liquids in a day.
