New vaper. Problem with clearomizer
Hello! I am new to this forum as well as vaping. I just received my vaporizer kit from Vaporzone. In the kit it has a Pro Platinum Clearomizer and I tried to take it apart to clean it before filling it with e-liquid but it is way to tight. When I try to unscrew it, my hands just slip on the metal parts on both sides of the glass tank. Has anyone else has this problem? How do I get it apart? Thanks.

Welcome to TVF!,

If that's the tank similar to a Protank 2 you should have some knurling on the bottom part. That's where you take off the bottom section although if I'm not wrong the entire thing should unscrew.

Try using a pair of rubber gloves, make sure the tank and gloves are dry first. That will give you loads of grip and it should unscrew right away.

My Davide tank we extra tight when I got that too so it's not uncommon.

Good luck Good

RE: New vaper. Problem with clearomizer
Hi and welcome MadVaper. It's good to have you here.

I'm sorry, I don't know that clearo. I hope that someone who does will be along shortly.

Don't use too much force, that is usually the wrong thing to do. I learned that from experience.

It may not be intended for disassembly. I'd just remove the drip tip, pour in some hot water, swill it around a bit and drain it. Some people use cheap vodka for this purpose. Obviously let it dry out before using it.

Thank you all for the help. I finally got it apart and I am going to soak it in some rubbing alcohol. Another question: do I have to clean the atomizer? I heard the wick has some kind of primer in it?

If it is new, I'd just give it a quick wash. Alcohol will evaporate faster than water Smile

It'll prime itself fast enough. Some people let the device stand for ten minutes after the first fill to let the wicks get thoroughly soaked in juice. Some people like me are less patient... Smile

No there's no primer in the wicks but give it a rinse in warm water if you like although you'll have to wait for it to dry. I won't suggest dryburning it as you may well melt the rubber grommet.

To be honest personally I wouldn't bother, I've never had a bad taste from one of those type of tank heads.

You're welcome!

Have fun and stay away from the burning things - they are bad for you Smile
