RE: New user here
I see Fasttech just got this in:
http://www.fasttech.com/products/1605200

Now I dont know if I should get this one, or the one with the glass and metal tank, and airflow control for $10 more
Wonder if they will lego. I could use the steel tank at work, and glass tank for nights and weekends

edit: just checked, and the one for $26 is a poly tank. Could have sworn it said glass before...

RE: New user here
I would source a tobeco, hcigar or ea mods kayfun elsewhere tbh. It claims some parts may not be stainless.

That'll be the screws rusting in the chimney, no afc and god knows what else.

I'm all for budget but I want acceptable quality too. I'm just unconvinced that would deliver.

RE: New user here
Looks like the Poldiac from FT is sub par quality judging from the response on the mixed version. Looks like I will be cancelling my order and finding something else

RE: New user here
Thanks!
After much debate... I ended up ordering this:

PRODUCT
UNIT PRICE
QTY
TOTAL

Atom Style Telescopic Mechanical Mod
Atom, Stainless Steel
SKU 1570901: Ships in 5 business days
$17.29

$17.29
Remove
[Image: 1505001-8-thumb.jpg]
AIOS Rebuildable Atomizer Kit for Chi You
AIOS Atty, Stainless(Silver-plated contact)
SKU 1505001: In stock
$18.76

$18.76
Remove

I do not know if they are compatible, but I am hoping. Worse case, I will just need to use my RDA until I can get a compatible mod

Edit: I came close to getting the Foggatti, but already got a hybrid, and think the Ikarus one will be better for now. Also, almost got the Kayfun lite, but I wouldnt have had a mod to use it on, and couldnt find one I liked that would have been around $35 or under.

RE: New user here
So the other night I rebuilt the Ikarus with two coils equaling about 1-1.1 ohm, and no matter what it tastes like ASS.

Burnt off the wicks with a butane torch
Doused them in water and then another quick hit with the torch to dry
Re-wrapped the coils with the included wire.

I just tore it apart and washed it all down with scalding hot tap water and still a nasty chemically taste to it.

Same juice I have been using in it too

RE: New user here
If my brain is working which it may not be, and the Ikarus has a ceramic pot for the coil like the Ithaka - burn the crap out of the ceramic. works most every time.

RE: New user here
Nope, no ceramic in it. I think I may resort to recoiling it tonight with the new wicks...

Well, going to have to deal with it for now I guess... Just used the last of my wire, and both coils got hot spots from the positive post to the wick, and burnt up. Back to my old coils again. I see this is going to take some practice

RE: New user here
Get some ribbon ordered,  I've put 50ml of custard through mine with one coil change and torching of the wicks, tasted great on every hit

RE: New user here
Weird thing is, I went back to my old wicks and the coils I wrapped the other day... Quick rinse again and hitting like a champ. But Wednesday I am ordering up an add load of wire
