The build I have in right now is dual horizontal Clapton 32g parallel with 28g wrapped around it I have some stainless to try making some claptons out of and for tc but I'm nervous about the tc mode lol

RE: New to vaping somewhat
TC is getting better, but once you really understand vaping in power mode, TC is pretty pointless.

Try twisting 3 strands of 28 together into a single strand, then wrapping that in 32 instead of the other way around.  That's a FANTASTIC vape.  2.5 mm diameter, 5 wraps.  That's an AWESOME vape on teh Aromamizer, should be pretty similar on teh Griffin.

Stainless vapes well in power mode. Almost Jaded has it right. Even on my Crown I use my .25 stainless in power mode. Also keep the thinner wire to the outside as Jaded mentioned. TC is still in its infancy. It is more temperature limiting then real control.

I've never tried to twist stainless. Honestly it's so low of resistance already I would be concerned the resistance would drop too low? Could be that I'm just being paranoid but I am still new to building my own.

The build I outlined assumed Kanthol.  I don't work with stainless.

Gotcha Smile I actually started with stainless. That's what the guy in my local B&M used and built my first coils with so I've used it since. I do actually like it so far but I will have to try kanthal as well and start branching out Smile

If you're working with SS, the build I suggested would be INSANELY low resistance.

The lowest I've built so far came out to about .15.

Lol. just put a set of Gently's coils in your atomizer. These are the higherst ohms of his I have used is around a .12. I put my own stapled fused in my Goon. Comes to .13 and I vape them at 100 watts.
