RE: New to Vaping and requesting some help.
UPDATE:  Asked my shop about getting a larger coil (the joytech coils have 4 very small port holes), but the ego One only fits the small coils.  Upgraded my atomizer to a Tobeco Super Tank and got the large coils.  The hits are absolutely amazing on it.  I can crank it up to 600F, running at 75w and the coil handles it fine.  The Super Tank also has a top fill slot so no need for messily removing the tank every time you refill.  I'm very happy with it, and I would have had no idea about upgrading if it wasn't for you guys explaining the VG/PG stuff.

Thanks again everyone!

Sounds like you solved it, but for the record...

1 - Ego One's are infamous for short coil life.  They've gotten better, but they still don't seem to last as long as other coils.

2 - Everyone is right - your juice was too thick.  No need to dropp all the way to 50/50, but certainly 60/40 or at most 70/30 with most tanks.  Also note: if it's cold where you are, you need thinner juice.  Temperature affects juice a LOT, and even a quick jaunt outside can thcken the juice for an hour after.

3 - The VTC's temp control is notoriously finicky.  Try a .4 ohm coil in wattage mode in the low to mid 30 watt range - that's the best vape I've seen from that device and tank.

4 - maxing out the temp will fry the coil faster.  Try a lower temp setting and longer, slower puffs to improve coil life.

Enjoy!

A lot of darker juices can cause this as well. If you try finding a light color of juice or even clear the coils may last longer. How long do your coils last now?

When I was using the ego One with the 80/20 it literally burned out in an hour.  I've been using the Super Tank all day today on 70w and the hits have been consistent, no burn at all.  Same 80/20 oil, Pink Lemonade (yellow color).

If anyone is interested I'll update this thread whenever this coil burns out. Hopefully it lasts me quite a while though.  The larger ports to the wick are definitely helping.
