If it is juice we mix ourselves (DiY) yes, the steeping is part of the process for some recipes and blends - but the store bought stuff should already be steeped and ready to go - that said, I had a few bottles of store bought juice that I am deliberately aging.... Smile

RE: New to Vaping
Does someone maybe know why I got the following Problem:

I use an prebuild SS-Coil with my Protank 4 at the Moment - but I got following issue: When the Clearomizer/Coil is cold and I vape - my "Vapeproduction" is very "sharp" and "strong" in my throat - it's like I'm vaping some chilli pepper sauce and it scratches and "burns" like ... But when the Clearmorizer/Coil is hotter everything is fine - Then the "Vapeproduction" is insane and very tastefull but the time until it's hot I ruined already my enjoyment with that ... I can't figure out what the Problem is - the coil isnt burnt or something like that and I got the Problem only with some Liquids ( I mostly vape 80vg/20pg Liquids or 70vg/30pg) thats my expierience so far .... I don't know if it should be called a "Dry Hit" or something like that - I tried to read about it but I don't know really what to do - I just vape until my Clearomizer/Coil is hot enough until I can vape and fully enjoy my vape ...

I'm vaping at 0.65 Ohms and 30W with a 6mg Nicotine Juice if somebody needs that info. Smile

I'm looking forward to solve this Problem .. :-)

Greetings to all of you

Chris

RE: New to Vaping
It could be having trouble wicking the 80:20 VG until the juice warms up and becomes more viscous.

Hmmmm that sounds pretty logical yes - I tried out that new Ceramic Coil yesterday and there it was a lot of more problematic.

Maybe I should build my own RBA on that one just to try out if it works for me with a lesser Resistance?

I will try out with lowering a bit the Wattage too on like 25 Watts maybe it will help me with that Problem?

Thanks so far for the help! :-)

Well, if it is the wicking while cold, a simple teat would be to get some 60:40 or 50:50 and try it.

Hi TW - That is exactly what it is - you beat me to it[Image: smile.gif]. When it warms up it will be just thin enough for the coil to absorb. Even 70% VG is deadly for factory coils.

I got a 60/40 and it's working great tho  .. Smile
but the 70/30 and 80/20 are making Problems ... Sad But they are the most delicious ones so I try to figure out how to don't get that "Dry Hits".
