Before using - there are often machining residues in new atties.

After that, only if you badly burn a wick.

I wasn't washing my new gear as I figured I would get essential oils into my diet! Smile If it works in a positive way at all, hair growth, weight loss, improved vision - I would patent it and become a zillionaire! Smile All it's done thus far is made me want more machine oil soaked vape gear! Tongue

I'll be honest, I rarely clean my new atties before using them. I know I should, but I just can't wait to try them out long enough to clean them first. I'm not dead from it yet, but I'm sure it's a better idea to clean them with soapy water before using. After the initial clean, they're not gonna get any more machine oil in them unless you're doing it wrong, so a rinse with warm water should be fine between changing coils.
