New and need advice
Hi guys

I'm brand new to vaping.

Great to be on here and was hoping for some advice. I just purchased a sx mini off a mate and got a kangertech sub tank plus to get started. I purchased some occ nickel coils .15ohm and it's going okay so far.

Was just wondering about building my own setup and what works well in the tc mode. Is it worth using nickel in the kanger rba? Anyone out there using a sx mini that has any tip of a good build or setup

thanks if you read this

RE: New and need advice
Hi and welcome DV !

I'm not a fan of nickel. To put it mildly.

Titanium is less nasty - but not free from nastiness.

Don't even think about dry burning nickel or titanium builds.

RE: New and need advice
I've never gotten my head around temp control in a tank?? Assuming you know how yo turn the power up and down, it's not like it'll dry hit unless it's empty, so tc will only be useful for the one hit that makes you realise it needs filling.. but youd know that by looking at the juice level Wacko2

As you ask if it's worth it, its a big fat no from me. Build yourself a nice .3 in kanthal or nichrome, enjoy bigger clouds arguably better flavour and significantly less chance of inhaling something you ort not.
Imo

Ah okay thanks for the advice. I think the sx mini has a preventative to stop you burning the coil dry and I thought you wouldn't ever burn cotton as it burns at 310 degrees C and the sx mini can't get there.

Anyway I'll look into a kanthal build.

Thanks

RE: New and need advice
I'd have to agree with the previous posts.  The advantages of TC ( and I'm not sure I know what they are) are outweighed by the unknown risks of heating some metals.  I'll wait for the studies like the one Hopkins is currently doing.  Of course I'll then be suspicious of the bias in it,
