RE: New Guy, Need Help
Hi SC - sorry to be a wet blanket here but there will be a problem with the 1.8ohm coil. The higher the resistance of the coil the lower the power needed and the 1.8ohm coil vapes at around 9W but I think the Alien only fires down to 10W. That is why I mentioned the 1.2ohm coil - you will need coils anyway so when you get them get the 1.2ohm. Also as far as the juice goes do not get juice with more than 60% VG it will be too thick for the coil to handle 50/50 is best. Try the 1.8ohm coil at 10W - it will certainly be better than what you have and will MTL fine - you will just lose a bit of flavour from the vape and it will not be as smooth. What I am trying to get at here is the nearest thing to smoking a cigarette while you change to vaping.

Okay, thank you for the information. I am getting a little confused here though... some have recommended 1.8 ohms at 11 watts with 70/30 so that's what we have ordered and now it seems like that will be incorrect.
Can a 1.2 ohm be used in a Nautilus 2, and if so, any particular brand?
As well, I am a little concerned with bumping up the PG ratio because I have read that some folks have issues with it physically bothering them and I already experienced some GI oddities the day I spent vaping.

Lastly, should we just start over with new mods at this point... I ask because my wife and I spent the better of yesterday looking up and purchasing the Nautilus 2's, extra 1.8 coils as well as a myriad of 18mg 70/30 liquids and now it seems that may have been incorrect.

I think they're safe to keep the alien ecignut, they range from 6-220w Smile

RE: New Guy, Need Help
Thanks gently that's great. CS you are OK with the mod for the 1.8ohm coil - the ''all knowing'' gently has sussed that. Vape the 1.8ohm coil at around 9W and you will get a nice surprise[Image: smile.gif]. The 1.2ohm coil is Aspire and is termed Triton Mini coil - they will fit the Nautilus2 - one really good thing about that tank is the number of coils it can use. I did not know the Alien fired below 10W - most high powered mods start at 10W so you are really good to go[Image: smile.gif]. Some people are not good with PG, 70/30 PG/VG will probably be fine for you but the choice is there for 50/50 if you want it. Now I know the Alien fires down to 6W I might get one myself[Image: tongue.gif] - thanks gently.
Enjoy your new vape CS - we have both learned something today[Image: smile.gif]

Thank you gently.

Yet another rookie question... do I need to buy coils for the Nautilus 2 from Aspire specifically -- in other words, say I am buying extra 1.2 or 1.8 coils, besides ohms, are all coils, their housing, the threads, etc, all Plug and Play?
Hopefully that made sense.

I think this should read 70/30 VG/PG

To try and fail is one step closer to trying and succeeding

Hi CS - lots of vendors will sell these coils but they are all Aspire coils - check some sites - you will see what I mean.

Only aspire coils will fit, having said that I think some of aspires other tanks share the same coil format as the nautilus. Eddie will know Wink
