My first 100W build
After being fed up with never being able to go beyond 50W in any of my builds, even 0.2 & 0.3 ohm builds, without burning juice or getting dry, painful hits, I finally build a correct one and it's fantastic!

After a little research I found that it's that my coils were way too hot and that in order to do it right I needed to use my 22 gauge kanthal in a dual coil setup at 0.3 ohms using 9 wrap 3mm coils. Built on my copper 31mm TOBH Atty and running off my Sigelei @ 100W it is a freaking steam engine even with 70/30 PG/VG juice from Real Extracts. I can only imagine how it would be with my 15/85 Butter Rum juice. Wow!

Anyway, even at 100W it's not vaping all that hot and even with mainly PG there isn't any nasty throat hit and the favor is great. If you have a 100W or higher regulated box mod and haven't tried a 100W build yet you really need to give it a shot. The key is in the coils. Wink

RE: My first 100W build
I'm running dual 24 gauge at .32 in the variant (clone) and it kicks butt. I only run 40 watts, but the variant hits like 80 watts. Using my newest favorite the kennedy competition

Sounds like you have it nailed.

RE: My first 100W build
I've always wanted to build something that can handle the insane high wattages, but every time I try I either build it too low or the coils won't fit in my atty. One of these days I'll get a 26650 atty to go on top of my God Mod, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Glad yours is working good for you Smile

RE: My first 100W build
All of the coils I build are 2.5mm.  It's a nice universal size that will fit anything from the narrow build deck of the Doge V2 to the massive build deck of my 30mm Asmodus RDA.

As far as coils themselves...a .12 ohm Dual staged parallel 22ga/28ga in my Mutation X V3 at 100 watts with my Maxx VG Ano Ba from Diamond E-liquids is BOSS.  Gotta love strawberry, watermelon, and kiwi.

For my 70VG/30PG The Shocker from Shocker E-Juice I'm running dual coil, 20ga single strand, 5 wraps.  That's .06 ohms, and 117 watts.

For my newest box, a dual 26650 Series Detonator, I'm running 26ga single strand, 14 wraps, which comes out to 1.0 ohm.  This is another Mutation X V3.  Again with the Ano Ba Maxx VG ejuice.  This box is 317 watts with fully charged batteries.

RE: My first 100W build
One problem I've had with getting high wattage to work is that the God Mod won't fire if the build is below .3 ohms. I have no idea why, since it also has a voltage limit so it gives you a very small window of resistance options to get the most out of it. Still trying to figure out how to make 25A, 10V, and 180W work together with the resistance, and I haven't taken the time to figure out the resistance I'd need to make those work together or figure out how to build my atty to get that resistance. But to get .3 ohms with a thick enough wire to handle 180W, I definitely need a bigger build deck. It works out to something like 8-10 wraps of 22ga in a dual coil build, which is just too big for an 18650 atty.

RE: My first 100W build
I got my magma built with dual 3mm coils 22g kanthal. my little resistance tester box reads it at 0.2 ohm, my Sig 100w+ reads it at 0.1 ohm.

Just tried it at 100w on the Sig... 24mg cinnamon roll juice 50/50 blend is BRUTAL at 100w Hang3

RE: My first 100W build
Holy vapes, man! 24mg??? Are you nuts?
Also, cinnamon is pretty harsh at higher wattages from my experience, at a certain level it's good but with too much cinnamon it's terrible.

RE: My first 100W build
I tried to cut down the nic, but I am not allowed to vape during work hours and 18-24 is good so I don't need to chain vape. I could probably cut it down to 12mg with this mod though.
Plus side of high nic, I typically only use 5ml a day, give or take a little

A .38 ohm build worked best for me using 22g on a 3mm center which ended up being 7 wraps. I fired it at 160 and it was quite fine on the GOD 180 (just a little warm for me so I did not venture up another 20 watts).

RE: My first 100W build
Thanks mate, I'll try that. Not sure if I can fit all that into my Atty or not, but we'll find out! I've been looking for a good 26650 RDA with a bigger build deck to fit those big coils in there, but the ones my local shop carries are all either quad coil, or have a small deck. One of them is just an 18650 build deck with a 26650-sized cap with super thick sides, I was like wtf is this? Lol
