Muster or Panzer Blackhawk
Hi all,

I'm looking to get my first authentic mod. So should I opt for the Panzer Blackhawk(last run) or the Munstro. I already have a PH22 clone and Caravela clone. What I like about the Munster is that it comes with 3 tubes (one copper 18650, one brass 18650, and a smaller SS). The first switch is a quarter turn to unlock. The panzer has a super smooth unlock and smooth switch. I just don't know. Do you have any input?

My mistake it isn't called munster, it's called Mustro http://www.calivapers.com/showthread.php...-by-2Puffs

Personally, the Panzer doesn't appeal to me, and I know nothing of the Munster. Sorry not to be of more help.

Yeah, I've not seen the Munster.  Sounds more appealing to me due to the copper, brass and SS tubes.  The black Panzer never appealed to me.  Now a brass 26650 Panzer or an 18650 copper Panzer appeals to me. Wink

My google-fu must be lacking because I can't find a thing on the "munster mechanical mod".  You have any links to it?

I was going by your subject line which said "Muster" and later when you called it the "munster" instead of searching for "Munstro" Tongue  I found the info.  That is a sweet looking mod!  I'd go with that setup.

The Munstro looks like a better idea than the Panzer to me. But it also looks a very long way from inexpensive.

All the black mods are getting reports of poor coatings. Or not particularly robust coatings at least.

That would put me off given the price.

Copper and brass is great but needs maintenance, even if you let the outside patina, the threads and any contact points need cleaning.

I love my brass mods and brasso gives a hard wearing finish, but you still need to give a polish once a month. Factor that into your thinking.

Keep the money on hand and get a cheap brass clone first, see if the upkeep suits you.

I have a mixed stainless roller, a stainless/brass kultura and a fortune mods original brass 18650, I've also got a brass paps clone that was ridiculously cheap. I love all of them to bits but the brass needs a monthly bout of care for me.

I would suggest trying to grab a genuine paps, but I guess you don't have any spare unicorns lying about to trade.

My last bit of advice is, there are precious few bad original mods. Practically none. You'll know the right one because you'll have hit buy it now before you post.

Its that simple, dont rush it, there's plenty of options available, the fact your asking suggests to me that your not 100% committed to either.

I'm with you, I love the look of Brass!

I don't really care for the Panzer either, but the whole idea of Brass, that goes well anywhere.

Onward.. through the Fog!
