RE: More good news on lithium cells
If you use the extra capacity below 3.3V (Which is not an issue for vapers as most will swap the cells out by 3.6) you will damage the cell. OK perhaps for a phone when you must make that one last call, not so good for vaping.

Lower impedance should lead to better cycle life too.

But if the extra capacity is not used and a lot of devices have a cut off point so they don't get damaged they won't be any better than the normal ones time wise will they ? or is the benifit in the higher drain rather than capacity as reguards mods

There will be a bit more capacity for a given weight and volume. And higher current capability as they have a lower impedance. At least if this tech works at vaping currents. It is perfectly possible to make a single cell lipo already that can do 150+ amps. I have a 2p (2 cells in parallel) lipo of 5800mAh capacity sitting here which is roughly the same size as those plastic boxes pairs of 18650s come in. It can completely discharge itself safely in a minute at 348 amps output. If this can improve on that in robustness and output with some bonus capacity, life ill be sweet.

Don please  excuse my ignorance but why hasn't the high powered market moved over to lipos

if at first you don't succeed ,call it version 1.0

Conservatism - most people who aren't into RC and the like have never heard of them. Actually just about everyone has a lipo pack in their phone. AFAIK every currently available phone uses lipos.
