More Wasp Woes
Hi there.
Im still kinda struggling with my Oumier Wasp Nano I got yesterday. I had to power up to 21-22 Watts to get a decent vape, so I changed the coil for a Clapton 1.5 ohm coil to a single wire coil of the same resistance. Im still at 21-22 watts and  both coils are taking 2 to 3 vapes to heat up and get any decent vapour. Would getting lower (0.8 ohm) coils resolve this problem?

Thanks
Hypnotia

RE: More Wasp Woes
Do you mind vaping subohm?
I think that is what the wasp was designed for anyway.

I do not like claptons for that reason. I really like a fast vape. You have got me stumped on the simple coil taking a while...

What material wire is it?
What size wire, size coil, and how many wraps?
Is your mod OOB?
Have you made sure all screws are tightened and connections clean?
I know, some dumb questions, but it happens...

If it is the atty making it take that long, I might change my mind about it.

Someone else may come along with a solution.
I am still a MTL noob.

I hope we can get this all sorted.

Hi Hypnotia - something wrong somewhere - you should be getting good vapour and flavour from about 11W. What mod are you using.
Is the single wire coil Kanthal.

Too much airflow?

What are you comparing the volume of vapour to, what were you using before?

Eddies right, there's something wrong if there's no vapour at that power level.. unless your expecting more than it'll reasonably give you..

Gently makes a good point - what are you comparing the vapour to. As a guide at 11W the vapour should be about twice the amount of smoke from a cigarette.

What is your juice PG/VG ratio as well?

More VG can give the appearance and feel of a thicker vapor. I find I can taste and feel the hit in the throat with more PG though.

Having all the details will help with the process of elimination.

RE: More Wasp Woes
It's a real dance, Hyp. The same resistance reading between two very different coils like that will produce pretty different results. As everyone else has requested, give us all the specs you can, i.e. metal, gauge, wrap count, wrap style, inner diameter, juice, airflow %, etc. Believe it or not, every single parameter makes a difference, and they all need to be dialed in appropriately to get what you want. Heck, even where the coil is in relation to the airflow hole makes a big difference.

The good news is, happiness is possible. Don't get discouraged.
