Mod settings help
Hey all. Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I'm new to vaping and got my mod about a week or 2 ago, but I just can't seem to get my settings right. I'm looking to get longer drags and more smoke, but I can't seem to set it up to where I can drag for more than 2 seconds or so w/o getting a nasty hit.

I have the Vaporesso Tarot 200VTC.
Size: 93*57*23mm
Output Wattage: 5-200W
Resistance Range: 0.15 Ohm - 5 ohm ( I'm not sure if this can be adjusted? It hovers around 0.27-0.30 )
Temp. control range: 140 C - 315 C ( 280-600F )

The tank I'm using is the Aspire Atlantis 2.
3ml capacity
Sub Ohm coils

I probably need to replace the coil which I will in a little while. I'll also do a thorough cleaning of the kit. But anyways, any help with recommended settings for longer drags with more smoke would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

RE: Mod settings help
What coil are you using - the .3 or the .5 ohm and what power are you using - your hits could be because of too much power.

RE: Mod settings help
What power settings are you using? If you're getting dry hits after just a couple seconds, it sounds like you've got the power too high for the coils. You said your coils are around .3 ohms, for that I'd say keep it in the range of 30-50W or so, maybe a bit more.

RE: Mod settings help
I believe I had a .3 in at first. I just swapped my coil out a few minutes ago. At first the resistance was hovering around 0.3. Now it's around 0.5 so I'm assuming it's a .5 coil now. I currently have it set at 140W with the temp sitting at 225C. It seems to be hitting smoother with the .5 coil. I don't know really anything about these settings. I tried googling it and couldn't really figure it out. So apologies in advance if what I'm saying is very uneducated or ignorant sounding lol.

Hey carsen
Firstly the .5 coil isnt tc, and 140w is way over what a .5 coil will handle.
It's a kanthal coil so you'll need power mode and a max of 50w

Just dropped it down to 45W and that seems perfectly fine. As far as temp control goes I'm still a bit iffy. There's 3 settings ( Ni, 316, & Ti ), but changing one changes them all so I'm a tad confused as to what they do. As far as I know, Ti is Titanium, Ni is Nickel, and 316 I have no idea. Thanks again for the help :^)

RE: Mod settings help
316 is Stainless Steel. Make sure you use only TC coils in TC mode, and vise versa. And the different metals have different properties, which is why changing one mode changes all the settings.

I was just about to type the same thing...I think we are on the same page here. Good

When I started out, the folks down at my local shop (all young enough or even younger than my own kids) were and are absolutely great when dealing with "the old guy". Dodgy

Each new unit comes with the exact same directions from them - start with a low W setting and bump up 5 W, then up and down in 2.5W until I find my happy place...

On my 100W unit the direction was to start any and all new juices at 25W which I did even just yesterday when I picked up a new juice. The "sweet optimal spot" is 4.2v, 0.28 om and 60.4W yes I'm strange! Good

RE: Mod settings help
Messed around with the TC a little bit last night and I think I finally have it in the sweet spot To_pick_ones_nose2

Thank you for all the help, gentlemen. I really appreciate it.
