Mixing by volume attempt
As the subject line implies, I was mixing using syringes and measuring by the less accurate method, today I pulled out the weight scales - yes I have 2 - will be returning one but that will be a separate thread - I mixed:

Vanilla Banana Cream
Custard Lemon Cake
Creamy Custard
Creme Brulee
Lemon Meringue

Each is 20-30 ml and will steep for 6-7 days....

RE: Mixing by volume attempt
Wow! Whenever I mix juice I usually make 120ml each unless I'm just testing a new flavor. Today I made 240ml of keylime pie and 240ml of beetlejuice and 120ml of rootbeer float. ( ran out of rootbeer flavoring)

RE: Mixing by volume attempt
Don29, I beginning to think I may start mixing my top five and stop trying to find new and amazing juices. To date I've ended up with three favorites I keep remaking and 10 bottles of good but not great. On the hand, if I do limit myself, I wouldn't find the occasional winner, like peach custard aka magic bunny trots.

RE: Mixing by volume attempt
My 3 go to juices are key lime pie, rootbeer float and watermelon strawberry.  I have flavors to make others when I get bored. I'm a creature of habit so change is really more of a treat than habit.

Don29, I usually mix in 120-140 ml or larger.... these are test batches using the scale vs syringes.

It's really interesting. I'm curious to see if you notice a difference.

Peach Custard - Cap Vanilla Custard
Mixed Berry and Peppermint
Watermelon and Raspberry

My current interest is in mixing a Lemon sugar cookie. Otherwise I usually just play with different fruit mixes. I have so many flavors that I've just had no luck with like cheese cake.

So far my observations and experience has been that it is far more accurate - since VG and PG don't weigh the same yet we mix them as being the same and yet there is a 25% variance with VG.

water: 1ml = 1g
PG: 1ml = 1.03g
VG: 1ml = 1.26g
