Leaking
If its going to happen, its going to happen to me. Today some pre-made 0.5 coils arrive, and was eager to get my Kanger Subbox mini working again.

Im using the RBA unit for the first time, and coil has settled down to 0.4 ohms. At first it was working great, then within 20 min I started to taste the fluid on the output.

Air hole is fully open and now 25W, then it started to flood out of the air hole, I got home and removed tank wiped it, almost immediately it was flooding out of the air hole.

I have now stripped it down and washed in water, dried it all, and re filled. The flood has stopped, so no fluid coming out now, but I can still taste the fluid on the output, checked everything cant see anything wrong.

If I blow down the drip tip the liquid floods out the air hole, Im guessing but there seams to be a coil sealing problem

Ok, think I fixed it, but don't know for how long. The only thing between the tank and the air holes is the coil, and it has a silicon o ring. I took off the ring and replaced it with one taken off the original 0.5 coil and its stop leaking, no more juice going into output.

Very poor design, not even a week old and its giving problems

RE: Leaking
My guess, not so much poor design as poor quality control.

Someone probably bought a job lot of inadequate O rings for a fraction less than the good ones. Or someone assembled it wrong, it is surprising how much hand-assembly gets done even today.

RE: Leaking
It's also possible that there wasn't anything wrong with O-ring at all. You might have simply used a little bit less wick than it needed. Using too little wick can allow the juice to seep through and into the air hole, this happened to me just a few days ago when I rebuilt my TFV4, so maybe you accidentally added a bit more wick the second time you built it.

RE: Leaking
Well I did think the wick was a lot, followed a youtube video. So reduced it right down, hardly any in it now and after the swap it was working.

However later on the liquid went low, it was still covering the wick holes, and I started to taste it again, and soon it was leaking out again.

So cleaned coil, added more liquid and its ok again, so lost now. Think Im going to buy that Triton 2 tank, getting fed up now..

RE: Leaking
Keep building till its right. All builds will have problems, you just have to solve them.  For example I took 4 goes to get the serpent rta right.. I've built literally thousands of coils i jest not! and I still don't get it right first time.

Don't forget to apply for the freecycle section!

RE: Leaking
wicking can be a bit touchy , and takes a bit to get the feel of .

Burbon comes from Kentucky , scotch comes from Scotland . Others deserve no bottle .

RE: Leaking
coil not working right is one thing, but liquid everywhere is another. Now the darn thing is working just fine. I have been changing liquid a bit, all 6mg though.

Need a recommendation on 6mg liquid now, tobacco flavor and the PG/VG mix if available on site. This £1 one is ok, but a little sweet now and then. Wattage is up and down, even though its all 6Mg on 25W now/

Cant find new silicon anywhere, just hope this one lasts until original coils get here
