Did not know you were a Balrog fan Michael. Just kidding. They now have the Balrog EX - takes either 18650 or 26650 batteries. I just bought a AK 100w mod for the wife by Aleander. She loves it. The same company has rthe Funky which Fastech and other online guys sell. Very nice piece of kit.

Edit: here's a link to the review from way back in February. Man, time flies doesn't it? Can't believe it was that long ago.

The IPV5. It's not the latest IPV mod, but it is solid and reliable. There are so many options out there.

If you are looking for deals, check out vapingcheap.com, it lists all the deals. As well, many sites offer a discount to new users.

I'm not familiar with the RX 2/3. I'd worry about form, how it fit in my hand. Hopefully those that have the 2/3 will chime in. The 2/3 is new, the IPV5 has been out for around a year and I've never heard anything bad about it. I'd check out all the mods on a website, see which one is makes you smile. I'd stay away from Kanger products and the Sigelei Fuchai 213 if you are interested in TC.

The Laisimo S3 200W looks interesting, very good price. Don't know if anyone on the board knows about them. Reviews say TC isn't good.

You know, that's a lot more true than people think. As long as a mod fits within the specs you're looking for, most of them out there are pretty cool and it can come down to something as simple as shape, display appearance, or color if you want. In fact for me, the only reason I bought the iPV5 (since I already have a great iPV4s which is still used daily currently) was the fact that it was blue. But I will agree that the iPV5 is a great mod, and the YiHi chipset is solid.

The newest iPV is out too, the iPV6x. I believe Bibs has that as well.

You can get a Laisimo L1 for around $50. Big old screen, colors available, 200w, TC. Just ordered me a red one today.

RE: Kangertech.....first and proably last
Fwiw, I would recommend almost anyone against the 2/3. The reason is that you shouldn't split up your batteries. If you have a pair of batteries that you keep separate from the set of 3, then by all means the 2/3 is probably a great mod. I have a RX200 and I love it, and the 2/3 is exactly the same except for being able to use just two cells. But the reason I would never recommend it is because a lot of people aren't going to think it through and keep their cells married. If you use 3 cells in it, then take one out and use it with just two, then you can never go back to using those 3 together because they're not married anymore. So I think the whole concept of a mod that can use different numbers of batteries is a terrible idea, it's just asking for trouble.

Damn didn't see this till now. Well, I know you recommend against it but I Just ordered one yesterday because I like the reviews about how it looks. It Doesn't really seem to have issues from what I've read.  I plan on only using 2 batteries because I don't see myself powering up to even 150W. the good thing is I bought 2 new batteries because I thought that was the issue with my kanger mod, so I'm good to go on that end. I watched a review by mike vapes on youtube and he was saying one thing you should do is charge the batteries with a battery charger and not through the device. He also said if you use 3 and switch to 2 you should actually rotate those 3 batteries to keep an equal discharge and charge rate, but only with that specific device, not batteries from multiple devices. Could that cause a monogamous relationship with batteries instead, to keep the marriage working? lol  Sarcastic_hand

RE: Kangertech.....first and proably last
Don't use two apart from the third, period. Don't add a 3rd if you're only using two, period. You can use a set of three, and change it out to a completely different pair, it won't hurt the mod or anything. But batteries should never be used without the rest of their pair/set. So for me, I use blue Samsung 25Rs in my two-cell mods and brown LG HE2s in my three cell mods, and they're not interchangeable.
