RE: Insane RTA - the Terra
The smok power engine has 100w to spare! Swoon

Did I miss the ohms that ran at?

With 8 coils at 300W it's 37.5w to each of them. .4's would be best suited but there'd be no resistance Wacko2 even built with 1ohm coils it'd be .12 Mail1
Claiming 37.5w on a 1ohm coil seems a stretch to me.

I want one now, just so I can see if it will handle 300W..

My anti-virus software won't even let me get on the page - I shall now call it my "shiny-itis cure" software Smile

RE: Insane RTA - the Terra
There are a slew of new 30mm RTAs out. Some good, some better. Of the new 30mm ones the Modfather is the best IMHO. Canot find a fault with it other than price BUT I buy some expensive RTAs. I am getting the new DDP RTA. Funny though I still have my two Serpent minis - one the gold LE - my fav - and another SS. And I have two versions of the Goblin mini. It's tough for me as I cut down on mods. I don't have devices for them all. I'm certainly going to use my Pico, Ubertoot and Hurricane Jr. And I will use the DDP. And my squonks take RDAs. That's why I sent my extra gear to Eddie and sold - very cheap - my moonshot and Maze to FB. Along with my Limitless Pluses etc. I just don't need that much stuff. I have another new mod coming - a Margarita Blaze - and I will put an RTA on it rather than a RDA.

I think RTAs suit mech mods - especially tubes but dual parallel works well too. It seems people prefewr to put their RTAs on regulated devices and I get it. On amech you need to really tweak the bugger. But the Terra on a big Lipo bad ass mech would be awesome. It will be my new mission to convert RDA guys to RTAs for their mechs! I was a happy camper going that route.

Not me. I'll never use a mech mod again as long as I can have a regulated mod

Paul, I think it also has to do with limited knowledge with some people including some folks at some vape shops...I was talking to someone about the AVOCADO 24 and said I've used it in my series mods and got the strangest look from the gal behind the counter - I was quick to point out I had a 0.44 build on it....but the look was memorable.....

I can totally understand that, Don. After I got my Sigelei-100, I thought I'd never use a mech again. And now that I have an RX200 and a DNA200, my mechs very rarely get any use at all. I still use tube mechs from time to time just for something different, and I recently picked up a clone SMPL mod cheap that's really nice, but regulated mods can do so much more than mechs and if you want a mech experience with a regulated mod, just set it to 4.2V and it'll stay there rather than tapering off like a mech does when the battery drains. There are a lot of reasons why regulated mods are better than mechs, but I do still enjoy mech mods from time to time, and the series mech that Paul sent me is fantastic for something completely different.

I still have my mech mods in case something stupid happens. (FDA) I have 1, 2, and 4 18650 mech mods and a few RDAs in a box on the shelf. You never know. I do live in the USSK.

RE: Insane RTA - the Terra
Back to the FDA, the new "innovations" in mods, mech or otherwise, just keep coming. I don't know how many 300W mods are out now. Wasn't that supposed to stop according to FDA regulation? or is it on hold because of the constitutional law issues and civil suits? I think that's why I've been picking up little mods like the pico instead of something like the IPV8. Backups to backups to backups and so on.

RE: Insane RTA - the Terra
I believe the FDA regs only apply to American companies. So shops in America that make their own juice have to get the juice FDA approved. As for innovation in vaping gear, technically China is supposed to go through the same ordeal to sell their products in America, but China doesn't give a shit. At least, that's how I understand it.
